I was moving only two rooms of furniture from W. Michigan to Chicago and hesitated using a company the size of University Moving and North American because it's been my experience that with small moves the larger trucks wait until they are full, and I've had to be flexible on delivery. Not so with University. Kevin gave me a quote, which was comparable to the others I had received. The two men who came to load the things in my truck were kind and very careful with my belongings. They had a knowledge of moving into Chicago, and when the truck arrived two days later they backed the truck into the alley behind my apartment and unloaded. My apartment was 3 flights up with no elevator and they treated my belongings so well. And were so cheerful and friendly! I would use them again, for sure!

Kevin come to make a reasonable quote. Then Brad was in constant communication with us before, during and after the move. The guys picking up our things were very professional, they emptied our house (3 bedrooms) in a couple of hours and they were out. Arrival en Florida was on schedule. Again the movers were very professional, fast and clean.



I would recommend this company to anybody who requires a reasonable price, fast, courteous Professional in just one word

Update - I used the company for the next phase of my move in W Michigan based on my great previous experience. I wanted to write another strong positive review, but YP won't allow - 2nd time was just as great!



I had a truly seamless experience working with Paul Sowa and Brad Hayoz in the office. I had a fairly complicated move in the sense that I would not be at either the pick-up or drop-off location and I was moving (among other things) 2 extremely valuable and sentimental items: a family heirloom dining room table and a 6ft b 3ft original painting. Both of these gentlemen walked me through the whole process step by step and how each of these items would be handled with extreme care.



On top of working with great guys in the office, the drivers/movers were also fantastic. Mark Takus and Jimmy couldn't have been better. It was clear they were professionals and handled everything with true care.



I could not recommend University Moving & Storage any higher. They were truly great!

Everyone was very friendly and knowledgable. The 2 guys that moved us were very efficient and extremely helpful. I felt they treated our things as there own while Ioading and unloading. I would definitely use this service again.

I had a really great experience with University Movers. I was moving out of state and on a tight timeline. I first requested an estimate and Kevin got me a quote within four days. Once I accepted their price (the lowest quote out of 3 estimates) we had the pickup date and time scheduled within a week. From estimate to drop off the whole process took less than 3 weeks!



Mark and Jimmy loaded my belongings very quickly and carefully and I was amazed how fast they got things into my new place (in a 3rd floor walk up)!

My furniture was in perfect condition and they were very careful of the walls and floors in my new apartment. Best of all, they were friendly, polite, and professional.



Brad, (the move coordinator), was always in touch and kept me abreast of the progress every step of the way. I only have good things to say about the Team at University Movers! Highly recommend them!

Fantastic customer service! Their communication was second to none. We moved two households from Michigan to one home in Missouri, and the process couldn't have gone smoother. Kevin explained everything to us in detail, Brad was extremely helpful in letting us know exactly what was going on, and Dave and his crew were very careful with all our belongings. They arrived at the time they said they would, and Dave kept us apprised of his progress along the route. I highly recommend this company.

Amazing customer service from beginning to end. When I called for estimates they were the only company that came right out to our home. Kevin was very knowledgable and helpful. Brad the move coordinator held our hand through the entire process. Move day was 5 degrees in Grand Rapids with a windchill of -18. But driver Antonio and his crew got us loaded. He was flexible with our delivery set everything up. Always considerate and courteous. They made our move to Florida much easier. And everything arrived in one piece. Thank you so much. I moved from Grand Rapids to Columbus for work and they made the experience very smooth and painless. I was concerned because all of the competitors only offered a 2 week delivery window and I didn't want to wait that long after arrival for my furniture. University was able to deliver within two days of me arriving. Everything arrived as sent. Furthermore, the price was very competitive to all of my other quotes. Not the cheapest, but for the extra service and the overall quality it was ideal for my relocation. I ended up paying only about $150 more than my lowest quotes and much less than several others, though those were with companies that I did not feel comfortable with.



In addition, University provided another service with up front on site inspection. They were able to view my items rather than have me list them each on the phone and hope my account was correct. They used straight trucks during both ends of the move which helped for busy narrow streets that I live on. A Semi would never had made it on either end of my move and would have resulted in higher charges from any one of the dozen other companies I quoted before selecting this one.

This was my seventh or eighth long distance (from overseas) move and definitely the best. University Moving didn't handle the packing end in the UK, but they did a superb job with the unpacking here in Michigan. The crew, Daryl, Rob and John, were all professional and courteous, going above and beyond. There was one minor damaged item and that was handled brilliantly, and immediately, by Brad. I really couldn't ask for more. Although I'm hoping to never require moving services again (!) I sure would recommend these guys. Thanks!
