Extremely poor customer service, the owner should not be allowed near any of the customers, don't believe me? Just go and read all the review on Facebook and google, you will easily see they have no problem arguing with customers even on public forum where all can see it, so just imagine it being worse when you are in their place of business. (or just wait until they respond to this review and you can see for yourself how well they take care of their customers) They literally had a full argument via Facebook with me and my wife. Do yourself a favor and just don't with these guys.

The WORST!!!!

This place is managed and owned by a bunch of monkeys that have no professionalism or even know how to spell it! My car starter that they put in and installed has malfunctioned every time furthermore trying to explain to them my issues I was yelled that and hung up on by the manager of the shop. DONT COME HERE!!! Worst customer service and work I've ever experienced and judging by the other comments on this page other people have the same thoughts and feelings..

The kind of place you can feel comfortable bringing your vehicle. And always reasonably priced. Great guys! They spend the time getting to know their customers, putting lots of effort into serving the individual needs of their customers. Sometimes they can get busy, but that can only mean one thing....they must be doing something right!! They take pride in the quality of their work though and don't just take the easy way out. They do it the right way, as if it were their own vehicle. They're not perfect, but if they do make a mistake...they fix it no questions asked. The reviews on here do not reflect the views of the majority. Most people that take the time to go on here and post reviews are those that are unhappy. Most satisfied customers simply don't feel as compelled to post a review. They don't have a "reason" to try to shape other readers' opinions about a company. Whereas someone unhappy wants to tell everyone to not go there, causing them to make the effort to post a review and make a statement. Many people have never even read these reviews, and have been regular customers for years! These guys deserve far more positive reviews!! If you haven't ever gone here and given these guys a chance, you should go and do it.... and then come back on here and let everyone know what happened!! I'm confident you won't be disappointed. Don't let the negative reviews you see on here shape your opinion before you even give them a chance! --Also, check their Facebook page...28 positive reviews on there & over 4,000 Pictures! Over 800 fans! Over 67 Years Combined Experience. I am one of these guys. With over 12 Years experience. This experience includes installation of over 4,000 remote car starters(I have pictures to prove it), and now almost 3,000 auto & boat details.

Don't go here

If you are looking for great customer service and prompt service this isnt the place to go. i called to have him install a remote start in my car...i got a call back but only a week later. By that time i had it installed somewhere else. when i told him that, he knocked down the other place that i went to and became completely rude to me. This is a definite turn off if you want something installed and installed with great customer service and promptness this is not the place for you As I looked further into guru I read all these horrible reviews on google had I seen a review like mine I would have known better in the first place, along with the responses from the owner. TOTAL DISLIKE!!!!!

I had a free car starter installed about 2 years ago - and small wires came loose so the started no longer worked. I made an appointment for early Saturday morning. I was an hour late. I went there and they found the problem easily, and fixed it right away and I was back on the road in less then a half hour. The person helping was wonderful!

Impressed

Took my truck and and my wife's SUV in for exterior detail. They both look great! Service was good, not great. Could be a little more personable. There was also some wax residue on my truck in the door jams, bedliner and a little on the handles. I would go there again!

We have had our remote starter...

We have had our remote starter for 5 years now and never a days problem. It was installed when told and very through worker. He explained how everything worked and the starter is a life saver. I had them install one for my 80 yr old dad a few yrs ago and it is still ticking. So is he. I think like any business sometimes there are days when things go wrong and takes a little longer but we have to learn patience too. Lunch hours etc..forget it...remember if it can happen it will happen sometimes. Remember the 'bad' posts always get put on while still angry but the happy customer rarely looks or thinks of posting.

Going in for my detailing in Oct and I expect the same will be for my detailing. They told me up front to leave it 9-6 so I wont expect it any sooner. Keep up the good work

Do not go to this store. I sch...

Do not go to this store. I scheduled an appointment for 1pm and when I got to the store I was told by the owner they were too busy to assist. I asked about the appointment and he slapped the appointment log on the counter and told me I wasn't scheduled and basically called me a liar, suggesting I never called in the first place. The owner and the staff were very rude and refused to assist with the malfunctioning remote starter they had installed previously. The owner suggested the problem I have with the unit, which is every day, could never happen. They are not the guru's of anything.

I knew nothing about you coming in right then. I had a scheduled appointment with another customer in 15 minutes when it takes me 30 minutes to get there. I was trying to devise a plan as to how (when) I was going to get this taken care of for you. After realizing the situation...not knowing you were on your lunch break (because you never told anybody that...) thinking about how much time I had to get to your car finished, I realized... since you were in work clothes that you were probably on lunch. Coming into the Showroom, I asked you if you were on lunch. You had a very insulting attitude towards me right from the get go....and then you started swearing at me because I was telling you that we were going to have to re-schedule. I had no choice but to try to fit you in at another time due to the fact that you had time restraints. I was not able to get it done for you as quickly as you needed. Because of your attitude and language in front of me and other customers in the showroom I walked you out. Not the guru's of anything? ;-) OK! You are more than welcome to come in and have me adjust the timing on your remote starter so that it starts your car properly. The question is if you can come in with a decent attitude next time.

Do not be fooled by the Groupo...

Do not be fooled by the Groupon being offered, it will cost you far more in the long run. I bought one of the Groupons and called in to set up an appointment and inquire about the 'bypass' as none of the other places I had looked into had mentioned it. I was informed that the bypass was an additional $100 and was needed on almost all cars made after 2005. I called around and realized two things: 1) the bypass was not mandatory for my vehicle or this model of car starter, there were multiple ways around it. and 2) this exact model being advertised as a value of over $300 was being installed at MULTIPLE other shops for $199 and these installs did not require an additional cost of $100. When I called back and brought this to the attention of the shop I was told I could go somewhere else if I wanted a "piece of s**t car starter". I promptly called Groupon and returned my certificate. The woman that helped me was not surprised, and apparently I was not the first to want a refund for this particular certificate. Judging by all of these reviews - not to mention the responses - I was one of the lucky ones. There are MANY shops in town with great reputations that won't cost you any more than this "deal". I spent $225 out the door.

Dont Go There!!!! I bought a ...

Dont Go There!!!! I bought a phython 533 at The Electronic Mobile Guro and was tolded when asked if there would be any problems and there answer was I would need to buy a bypass but no problems.. Made the appointment for the 15th of Dec. for 11:00. Had the car there by 10:00 was told 4 hours. At 2:00 my car had not moved from outside and by 4:30 when I came to pick it up they said just got started. Could I bring it back the 16th but on the 16th got a call and said installer called in so made another appointment on the 28th. Was promised at 9:00am my car would be the first to be worked on and it would take 4 hours. At 4:30 I went to pick up my car and they was putting it back together. At 5:30 the car was ready they said but now the check engine light was on which they finally fixed after a 10 min. wait. No one explain by using the bypass that now my car does not fuction the way it did before. The promise a guarantee for the life of my car but nothing was giving in writing. For my trouble they would give me a free detail the last day I took my car in. Did not happen but tolded I could bring my car back by July to have it done. On the rainy 29th I was driving and my windshield wipers quit and when I stopped in to Guro they said they never touched the wipers. Dec. 31 my mechanic found they had ran a wire but never secured it and it got wrapped around the arm and popped the arm out. 3 hour job. I have read this Guro has a complaint at the Better Buisness , Also read there reviews there are alot of people that have had the same problems I have had. They also write there own reviews that make them look good. ( Dec.23th). Taking my care in for the free details no way they will ever touch my car again. My 4 hours total was a total of 16 hours, plus a 3 hour mechanic charge. If you want a car starter go to a place that has good reviews and knows what they are doing!!!!!!!

Simply untrue. We run no wires anywhere near your wipers. You are lying. You are a horrible customer, and I have no desire to ever serve you again in the future. Take your business elsewhere.

Disappointed

Had a remote starter installed on my vehicle. They had installed the wrong one........actually a more expensive one which they let me have for the cheaper price. I think this was smart on their part because it actually took 3 appointments to have it installed. The first time they were supposed to come and pick my vehicle up (I work across the street) and no one showed up. The 2nd time I dropped my vehicle off and had it there all afternoon, came to pick it up at the designated time and it still wasn't done, So I had to take it back again for them to finish the job.

I was a little leary of giving them more business because of all the runaround with the first one, but I thought they seemed like nice guys and they are a new business, so I decided to purchase another one for my husband's vehicle. I bought it as a Christmas gift and we had it installed a few weeks later. When my husband came home and showed me the receipt and remote, I knew it was not the one I had purchased. They had installed a cheaper model. My husband was just going to forget about it because he doesn't have a lot of time for the runaround. So I thought it wouldn't be a big deal for them to give me a credit. I talked with Josh and he would not do that.......I do realize I purchased the more expensive model at a discount because they had a special running at the time. So now we had to spend more time for them to correct their mistake.

Finally, we decided to set up an appointment to have the correct one installed. My husband showed up for his appointment and the business was closed. He decided to run an errand and come back and it still was closed. What is up with that? Never received a phone call.

I called the next week and talked to Josh to find out what had happened. I realize things happen, but my faith in them is really waning at this point. I would think a professional would have at least called us with an apology and checked how they could make it better. I felt I needed to let him know I was disappointed.......felt like he was very defensive and not all that concerned about the situation.

I hope they can get their act together.......at this point I will not be giving them any more business.

My husband did stop back there and they switched out the remotes........make your own decision.

Michelle, I am sorry for all of the hassle! Let me explain the scenario behind this mishap...you had your remote starter installed during the middle of December. During December we are installing 13-20 Remote Starters every day. It is by far the busiest month of the year for us. This made it incredibly difficult to "squeeze you in", as a favor for our neighbor...which is what I did. We were extremely busy, scheduling 1 week to 2 weeks out. Sometimes things can get mixed up, especially when you start overbooking! I actually am the one whom made the mistake the first time. On 95% of the cars we install starters on, we install one of 2 models. -One-button with remote start ONLY -Four-button with Lock/Unlock and 500 ft better range. You asked for the cheaper unit. I accidentally installed the better unit. I didn't rip that unit out and install the correct one once I realized the mix-up, instead I said "oops, my mistake...i'll just give it to you at the same price!". I then sold you the 2nd starter ( & gave you a $50 discount for being a "loyal customer" after the $50 special was actually already over). This put the price of the starter at $0 more than the 1-Button Starter. The difference in REGULAR PRICE between the two units is $50. You wanted me to give you the difference in regular price for something that you didn't pay regular price for. Miss-communication plagued the Saturday morning which your husband was scheduled to come in to swap out the units. I apologized for this and again apologize. I was there as soon as I could be (1 hr after we were to be open). When I arrived I started calling people, got side-tracked and never got to calling you. I didn't hear from you for a week, hence I assumed you were just going to re-schedule again due to your "husbands busy schedule". You re-scheduled every one of your appointments 2-3 times which very likely added to the confusion. We did our best but made a couple mistakes, I apologize and I hope that you will give us the chance to earn your business again in the future! Owner @ The Mobile Electronics Guru

Very Happy

Between me my dad and my wife, we had 3 remote starters installed and one windshield so far. We are all very happy with everything. The remote starter on my wifes suberban was free with the windshield replacement. They gave us a deal that we couldnt pass up. Very good work GURU guys! Recommended to everyone.

You get what you pay for.

Non-existant customer service, they installed a remote start unit and windshield in my vehicle. The remote start did not function properly, had to bring it back the following week when at the time of install I warned there would be problems as they did not use the tach wire during the installation.

Another week later the windshield molding fell off while driving, after several phone calls and emails... no reponse until a 4th phone call.

Zero professionalism when you show up, no sorry's, they act like you're an inconvienece to them and very arrogant.

Couple of hackjob kids posing as professional installers, avoid at all costs.
