High Pressure salesman that flat out lied!



Came, did his thing, showed a quote, wanted me to sign then. I said "can you give me a couple days?" The answer, a Flat "NO, didn't they tell you there is a special now?" said it would go up 15%, if I did not sign NOW. I called the shop tight away, they said there was no such "special". I HATE liars!



Maybe the pressure since they were 25% higher than the ones that got the job!! The SHAFT-sma nickname is correct!

This company is wonderful! They have been around for a long time and now I understand why! My ac broke down in the 90+ degree weather in July. They came right out, but after finding out how much it was going to cost to repair the thing I decided it was time to replace my 20+ year old AC. After getting several quotes, I found that their price was very competitive after comparing apples to apples. This company does things very different then other contractors. They got my new ac installed within the week and it is working great, i've never been so comfortable in my home. They fixed some ductwork and added some vents, feels great in my house. What a great company! They came out to do a cleaning and tune up on my furnace. Very professional! I learned alot about my furnace and what to watch out for. I also had my ducts cleaned the same day. The techs were extremely thorough. Me and my sons allergies have been alot better, since getting it done. Not to mention, I don't have to dust everyother day now. I would recommend them highly!

Took over three months and five calls to get a refund check out of them....My parent's AC went bad, they said can get a new one tomorrow. When my parent's said they will shop around, Schaafsma replied "we are very busy, no telling when we can come back". Total hard sell. Their nickname in GR is Shaftsma, and it is accurate.

We called several companies out for an estimate on a new furnace and air conditioner for our home. The gentleman from Schaafsma was the only one that took the time to find out about our home. He explained the importance of the ducts in our home and showed us how by making some minor changes we could improve our efficiency and comfort. During the installation the men were very polite and respectful and worked hard to get everything done on time. We had a problem a few nights later whith our thermostat and we called them at 8:00 at night and the serviceman came right out and fixed it. We were very happy we didn't have to wait until the next day. We would recommend them.

That is the term a local contractor used for them, and it is true, I cancelled a service contract and it took four calls, each time witht then promising to send in my refund amount, and over thirty days to receive my money. Terrible customer service, avoid at all costs.



My parents needed their AC replaced. Shafts Ma rep told them they could do it tomorrow. When they told him they would shop around, he said they are real busy and no idea when they could come out and do it. No business ethics.
