Been going to them for years just simply for the first oil change and discard of old oil. If I had the lift and would do it myself. But the constant barrage of you have to do this and have to do that. This last week had a PCV valve replaced and since then had chirping and whistling coming from my engine. Went back and told them they messed up and missed a important gasket. Told me my car never had one and told me my model doesn't need it anymore. False, talked to two other auto repair shops just to confirm my suspicion and sure enough said it is very important to have it. Went out and bought a whole new kit and replaced everything and solved the issue. Went and got my money back and no apology or concern for what could have happened to my car had I believed there false diagnoses "belts and idler bearing noise"

I wish could had read this review before I got there today. The same things that they have done to you guys just happened to me. I showed $19.95 oil change and takes me into spend over $165 but that is not all. My guts was telling me this guys are not professional I really hope I follow my gut but now I will leave with the consequence of believing someone you don't even know but took their recommendation. They just need money and will do anything to get it. The money I spend was not what bothering me. I Just found out that the wrote on the receipt that my car has oil leaks pure to my arrival but they did not told me in front. I want back to them but the insist that, there is no major leaks currently but in the future they might be. so my question to them is, why included in the receipt if there is no leak? But they cannot answer me? any advice please because they way I see it this guys damage my car but they don't just need to admitted. Why do I know the might damage my care oil circuit because he said, they have had the same car as mind that had the same problem in the first and the manager told them to always look for leaks so that the customer cannot hold them to account. So, they are doing this to protect themselves and I asked who will protect me? they cannot answer? I called a number which they gave me and a guys showed up which pretend to be the manager and told me to full the car over to a services location he check and told me you don't have to warred about a leaks about a year or two years.

These guys are terrible and just not honest! I had my wife stop at Big Rays { we screw you place} 0n 7 28/15. For a 19.95 oil change. The trouble started right away. These guys telling her she needed all this stuff from a new filter18.bucks. It was just changed 3000 miles ago and we do NOT live on a dirt road! To the guy told her the oil would be more because it was20/40 weight. Not true. Then there was the 10 dollar lite bulb with really costs 99 cents. They did discount it to 5 dollars. WOW.. Now for the engine sludge issue 24.95 extra. MY mechanic says that's bull crap also. I went back to them the next day for them to make this right and get a readable copy of the bill. All 3 of them got in my space and refused. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER! Jack d Grand rapids. Total cost 88.05

If I could have given zero stars I would have! The "manager" at this location, Mr. Darrell, was beyond rude, cocky and aggressive. While I was in the shop he was boasting to another customer about being the manager and having the best discounts, etc.. (It didn't make sense to me as to why he was so prideful after he made a mistake and didn't own up to it.) I wanted an oil change, he came back and let me know I needed other work done to my car, I called my husband he told me to just wait and we will take it to Berger Chevy or Sears. I clearly told Mr. Darrell to cancel all services and he replied "ok" he then went and proceeded to service another vehicle. I was waiting and waited and waited for about 7 mins then I eventually turned my car on to signal that I was ready to go. He yelled for me to turn the car off and I asked what was taking so long?! I had to go! he then told me that they are draining my oil..I asked "why?! I told you never mind I'm fine I didn't want any services right then and there" he then replied "well, we already drained it, and the total will be $21.48." I immediately got very upset and disappointed. He started behaving very unprofessional and He proceeded to raise his voice and kept repeating the total. He got so out of hand that I literally had to tell him "hey, i'm not trying to be confrontational with you, what is your corporate number". That angered him and he started yelling "you didn't make it clear, the total is $21.48, go ahead and call corporate, tell them what ever you want, go ahead..etc"!! This made no sense, why would he continue to perform a service that I cancelled? Why would I be charged for a service I DECLINED?! Take this as a warning be prepared to speak slow if you plan on declining a service and make sure you repeat it more than 3 times..

beware females

I have been going to big ray's for several years, sometimes I think they did good work. Saturday I went in for an oil change, the you said I needed an oil system flush, which I declined. Moments later they said I had blown a seal and any oil they put in would just blow out, and I needed major service work to fix it from their shop. I couldn't get there before they closed for the day. Took my car in to bell tire, and there was no blown seal, but it seems all 10of my oil pan screws were exactly 3/4of the way unscrewed. Funny coincidence? They stated they had never seen that happen before...I tried to call and they were rude. I couldn't speak to the manager. I will never go back.

COMPLETELY SCREWED ME OVER! i ...

COMPLETELY SCREWED ME OVER! i took my cousins car to get the fuel filter replaced, i had already bought the filter so they were going to do it for less. when i got there, they told me that they couldn't get it off and that i should go to the one on division because they had better tools. they worked on it there for 45mins! they were beating it with a hammer! then they told me they couldn't fix it, so i should go to the other shop on division where their boss is located, they said he could fix it no problem and it wouldn't cost a dime more. they even called him to tell them we were coming. when we get there, the guy proceeds to telling me that its going to cost 3 times as much and then starts cussing at me and about the other employees who made me that offer!!! now they gave me a phony number to reach his boss at! very unprofessional and if my gas line starts leaking because they beat it, i will be taking them to court!

BIG RAYS ARE UNPROFESSIONAL!

They got me with the great price... $16 and some change. BIG MISTAKE! When I pulled in the employees just looked shady, but I dont judge so I continued on in. Not to be short lived by one guy YANKING my cabin air filter out and trying to sell me one. I refused and he got angry telling me its so dirty he wouldnt even put it back in the car and that it wouldn't matter if I just left it out. I told him to go ahead and put it back and he got so mad he lowered the price from 30 to 14 dollars. At this point I just wanted go get out of there so again I declined. So, he started jamming the filter back in. Then the girl came from down below saying something about my filter and how there may be drips on the frame. I had to inquire about what she said because the other two employees she told to tell me sure weren't going to share what happened. I left and my heater was very loud. So I went to valvoline down the street after the madness I encountered and come to find out my cabin air filter was put in wrong and was just set in there improperly. As well as my air filter was put back in wrong and for an added bonus they took the cap off my coolant. I will never go back and wouldn't let them touch my bike!

The worst company ever!

If you want your car to remain runnning and your sanity to stay intact, NEVER go to ANY Big Rays Quick lube. Not only do they not change your filters, but if you recieve an engine flush which is 17.00....THEY USE TRANSMISSION FLUID (which you can purchase at the store for about $2. ) not real engine cleaner!!!!!! My transmission fluid that was supposed to be changed was just overfilled, it was old and black right after I checked it 2 days later because I noticed my car running badly. Also my mechanic told me my fuel filter was the same that HE replaced over 8 months ago as well as the air filter I replaced over a year ago and i was charged for a new onw last month at the Alpine store. Not to mention after being a customer a few times (not realizing the fraudlent happenings until I took it somewhere else) I met the shop owner Rico and his wife Sawnna (who also "works" there). He was screaming and beating her in the shop, leaving her with a black eye. I dont know why or how this buisness is operating but something there is VERY wrong! To be honest Im ashamed I was required to rate this company 1 star.

BEWARE -- ESPECIALLY FEMALES!!

I've had my oil changed here three times. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. The last time I was in there, they "accidentally" broke the copper plug that my son had put on my car. I had to sit and wait for them to go and get another (plastic or nylon) one from the auto parts store across the street. Even though they broke the plug, they charged me for the replacement! After I left the shop, I realized that they kept the copper one -- which was worth quite a few dollars. I believe that they broke it deliberately so that they could get the money for the metal. Also, every time that I went in there they tried to get me to do something extra, besides just the oil change. The last time I was there, there recommended that I have something done, but I wouldn't do it. I later checked with a relative, who is a certified mechanic, and he told me that the service they wanted to do would not have been good for my engine. BEWARE -- ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE FEMALE!!! The only reason I even found this listing and added my rating was because I am looking for a different place to take my car.
