All taxi drivers are independent contractors, I have known Keith Ellis for many years now. I agree he can have a attitude, but who don't when rubbed the wrong way. Keith Ellis is a licensed taxi driver as he said. And I believe he is just trying to make a living as we all are.

For the person who wrote this review of Top-Notch Taxi, may I suggest to you, sir, that before you go slandering people who are trying to earn an HONEST living, you better get your facts straight!

My name is Keith Ellis, owner of a business called "Top-Notch Taxi".

As an independent contractor with Yellow Cab, I can assure you I have the proper insurance [covered by Yellow Cab], and have valid taxi permits in Arlington, Dallas & D/FW Airport. Check it out yourself.

I have been driving a taxi since 1987, and have my own website: www.TopNotchTaxi.com . You are right, I am not a cab company, and what I provide is Personal, Prearranged Airport Transportation only.

Your daughter went online to www.taxigrab.com and made a reservation, and somehow found my name and link from that website. Then she called me and asked if I could take her son from Dove Loop Rd. in Grapevine to Grapevine Mills Mall because he worked there, and I said all I do is Airport Transportation. Then I asked her if she had the number for Yellow Cab, and she said she had used Yellow Cab a lot, then I said I'm an independent contractor with Yellow Cab, and she said,"Oh you're Yellow Cab, and I said no, this is Top-Notch Taxi you called.

She then said "well I'll tell everyone not to use Top-Notch Taxi because you are an idiot!"

I texted her back saying what I said above, and did not appreciate being called an idiot when she had never met me.

Someone texted me back [I guess it was the person who wrote this review -- I believe he was her father] stating that his daughter doesn't have texting on her phone and I was not given permission to text her and that it cost her money, and he was going to take me to Small Claims Court.

Seems kinda strange to me, because he texted me back on the same number I texted her on.

HORRIBLE! This is NOT a legitimate company! It is a man named Keith that has his own car that contracts out through Yellow Cab. Do not be misled, this is not a cab company! He has a real attitude, and I will be verifying his cab license this next week. I will also file a complaint with the State of Texas. I would not trust him to be ethical, professional, or trustworthy, based on my interaction with him! Anyone can say they are a business, but unless you have ALL the legitimate documents and licenses, you are a fraud!
