The Grand Prairie Police Department is a law enforcement agency provides services to more than 145,000 citizens. It is structured into various divisions, such as police administration, criminal investigations, field operations and support services. Its criminal investigation division is staffed with more than 30 sworn officers, supervisors and civilians. The division investigates more than 7000 crime-related cases, including murder, burglary, robbery, motor vehicle theft, and aggravated and sexual assault.
