I needed a motor on my spa fixed and asked an electrical contractor friend where to take it. He said all the electrical contractors use Stout's. Took the motor in and they gave me a free repair quote. They repaired it quickly and iit has worked perfectly ever since. I see why the contractors all use these guys.

I took three motors in for repair. After a free evaluation, they told me one was not worth repairing and repaired the other two. They charged a reasonable fee and the motors came out like new. My neighbor recommended them and said he'd been using them for years and they always treated him well.

This man sold me a irrigation pump and it would run for about a minute and it would shut the breaker off and I took it back he looked at it and told me I was running it off a 220 and I told him that it was a 110 so I try it with a heavy duty extension cord connected it inside the house and it ran for a minute and the cord was getting warm and before I could unplug it it just stated smoking and stopped working took it back again he insisted it was my fault well we argued and then finally got my money back went and purchased one at grand junction pipe hooked it up and it works beautiful I think he needs to retire already if you go here good luck

I had some lawn pump problems, and I took the motor to Stouts. The quoted me a maximum of $100 to repair it and got it back to me three days later with a total bill of $81.26. The motor looks like new and ran great. I couldn't be happier.

I took my irrigation motor to Stout which ran fine but had a difficult time starting. Two days later I picked up the motor paying $242 for reconditioning and a new "START CAPACITOR". I took the assembly (motor, mounting bracket and impeller) home and mounted it to the pump housing. After two+ hours the motor overheated and tripped the breaker. I took the motor assembly back to Stout. Two days later I called and he said the motor was not repairable. He said the impeller was dragging on the case and that caused the motor to burn out. He said I installed it wrong. I explained that there is no way to mount it wrong and the mounting of the impeller was the problem. He would not consider any responsibility. I turned to open my trunk and Mr. Stout threw the assembly to the ground and said "if you want your motor pick it up off of the floor and get it out of my shop". On yahoo local there is another person who had a similar experience with him. Fortunately he got out before spending money.

After a $242 recondition of which $9.05 was a start capacitor which I believe was the problem I picked up the assembled motor and housing and mounted it to the pump with a gasket and 8 bolts. After 2 + hours the motor overheated and tripped the breaker. I returned the motor to Stout and he said the impeller was dragging which cause the motor to burn up. I tried to explain to him that there was nothing I did that would cause the impeller to drag. He really wouldn't listen. I asked who installed the impeller and he replied "oh your'e not going to go there" as though they never make a mistake. At that point I could see that I couldn't reason with the man. As I turned to open my trunk Mr. Stout threw the box with the motor and housing to the ground and said "if you want your motor you can pick it up off the floor and get it out of my shop". Pretty immature, even childish reaction from a business man. I DO NOT recommend using this businesses services. BUYER BEWARE!
