Troy Cleaners

Grand Blanc Cleaner more than disappoints.

I am a professional in the community. Sadly, when I picked up my lab coat from being cleaned there was dirt on the front that was not there when I dropped it off. They demanded I pay for the cleaning before they’d consider addressing my dissatisfaction. The local manager had to “talk with my boss” before begrudgingly attempting to remove this new stain. It returned slightly improved but still present (and embarrassingly not wearable) now pressed into the fabric. I had hoped they would have apologized but instead informed me “all the lab coats come out this way.” I kindly suggested they consider a new method for cleaning coats. Frustrated that my coat looked worse than when I dropped it off, disappointed I paid for a service I didn’t receive, and saddened thinking about the time and money required to purchase a new personalized coat, I simply asked for a refund on the cleaning. I’ll have to “talk with my bass” the manager Irene said again.

Horribly disappointed in Troy Cleaners service and customer service and angry at the situation and how I was treated. Please do not give them business. Instead please support local businesses that do fine work, that are courteous, responsive, and want to be a positive part of our Grand Blanc community.

Troy Cleaners we will not put up with your poor work, disrespect and lousy customer service! If you’d like to continue to serve our community I’d suggest you reconsider your mission statement and practice model.

Update: I was able to speak with the owner on the phone who apologized and sent me a check for a new coat. Thank you for making this right.

I took some expensive articles of clothing here and I didn t realize this but apparently Troy cleaners has a policy where they write numbers on the inside of your clothing. The problem is, I was never told they would do this. When I realized my clothes had been wrote on, I was pretty upset. I only have a few things that I bring in for dry cleaning and those things are custom and expensive and I ve had them for a long time. I asked for them to take the number out of one of the pieces and they made it much worse. They essentially made a hole in the label with my name on it and the date the garment was made. I m hoping to send the article of clothing back to its maker to get a new label. I d really avoid all troy cleaners, not just this location, based on their policy of writing on customer clothing with non-removable ink.
