I would like to warn you against using Kyle Pfeifer Painting.

He and his subcontractors did a most unprofessional job for my interior home paint job. He had little to no regard for my personal property with over-spray on not only the floors but on my actual kitchen cabinets. This job required patching and prep work and all patching can be seen and the over-spray shows the prep work was not done properly. I didn’t watch Kyle like a hawk; I would think that would not be expected for a real professional. I trusted him. Truly I’ve painted a room before and I think I, a normal everyday middle-aged woman, could’ve done the painting better. He was also unreliable, taking over two months to not even complete the job, and isn’t that the whole idea of the worst contractor? Please don’t fall for the stories he will tell you to get the contract.

Worst “Contractor” EVER!!!

This guy came on strong claiming he was a “3rd generation painter”, fast talking, telling us he could do all the work we had to have done to make our house in Granada Hills, CA painted and ready to rent within two weeks from the day he started. Over 2 months later, and it’s still not done. He gave us the “I could not get in touch with you” BS, then he lost his cell, his father-in-law died, we had rainy day and holiday delays, and the list goes on and on.

The job started July 5th and to this day Oct 13, 2010 it’s still not completed. We’ve had to get a real contractors to clean up, and finish what Kyle started.

The worst part of his non professional workmanship included; over-spray on the floor throughout all of the interior, unfinished paint that looked as if a child painted it. This is not a bad review because he charged too much, or we just plain didn’t like the guy, we gave him over $9000.00 to do a job, and that job did not get done.

We feel that he crossed the line when he let a sub contractor by the name of George (from NV) have the keys and live in the home without asking us. We found this guy living in the house, he told us all these crazy stories, and asked if he could stay in the house and fix all the mistakes Kyle made. We tried to get past all this, but could not believe how the so-called “professional” betrayed us, the last straw was reached, so we gave both George and Kyle the boot.

We have photos, saved phone messages, and contracts to prove that this guy is a fraud and we are in the midst of contacting the CA Contractors Board to report Kyle Pfeifer for negligence, and I hope he learns something from this atrocious business practice.
