History and Philosophy of Ace Roofing: Ace Roofing was established in 1965 and is the only company in the area which has operated continually under the same name for that long. Ace Roofing is a third generation company. The current president is Walt Stowe. Walt graduated from the University of Colorado in 1978 and has been involved in the roofing business with his father since the company was founded. Walt is currently joined by one of his sons, John, who actively works in the business. With over 40 years of continual ownership by one family, not only has Ace Roofing amassed a great deal of knowledge in mountain roofing but they carry the pride and integrity associated with a closely held family corporation. Ace Roofing has several long term employees and associates including Eddy Saueressig Sr. who has worked with Ace Roofing since 1969 and Steven Williams who has been with Ace Roofing since 1970. Eddy Saueressig Jr. began working for Ace Roofing in 1993 and continues to carry on the great traditions and values established by his father and other members of the Ace Roofing team. Ace Roofing is licensed in every town in which we work and we carry liability and workmen's compensation insurance in order to protect ourselves and the homeowner from potential law suits. We maintain two full time repair crews through the winter months to work on ice problems and/or emergency repairs. Our normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, however we maintain a full time answering service and in the event that we are not in when you call, we will return messages as soon as possible. Our work includes commercial and residential as well as steep and low slope roofing. We are approved applicators for Manville, Genstar, GAF, Owens Corning, Gaco Western, Stevens and Good Year. We install several different metal roof systems. We are also approved certi-split cedar shake and shingle installers. We have memberships with National Roofing Contractors Association, Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau, Western Colorado Contractors Association and the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association. Having been in business for over 40 years, we are well qualified to handle problems inherent in mountain roofing, and to provide the best possible solution in each situation. While no one makes everyone happy all the time, we pride ourselves on going that extra mile to assure that our customers are satisfied.
