It just goes to show that even thou a business may have a 3, 4 or 5 star rating on Google, it sometimes means nothing. I had a warranty claim and this was the pathetic garage door company that was sent to my home to repair my door opener. However when the tech arrived at my home he forgot he was going to be on security camera. He came into my garage and immediately called his boss and began to tell him that he had other pressing jobs waiting and that unless these people want us to pay out of pocket we are going to deny this repair. So right away they were prepared to try to swindle me out of $300 plus dollars to repair a $90 part. Wow ! I told them to leave and not come back. Save your money and headaches and go elsewhere for overhead garage door repairs. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will pass on their poor business practices to everyone I know.

"[Service, Price, Timeliness, Technician] I received a call this morning at 9:40 that a neighbor had backed into my garage door. I called Smokey's at 10:30 to schedule an estimate. Before noon, I had a completed estimate, my neighbor paid Austin (the Tech) in full and I had an appointment for installation the following day between 7-10 AM. I will have a new garage door within approximately 24 hours from the damage! It simply doesn't get any better than this! The man who took my call at Smokey's and Austin were very helpful, extremely polite, knowledgeable, professional and friendly! I'm very impressed with Smokey's and their employees! Kudos and many Thanks!"

Like any service you get, it basically depends on the employee they send. In this case they sent the wrong guy. Just pushy, condescending, telling you what you need to do before he even looks at it. Tells you your garage door opener is the "worst one on the market", and "installed terribly, that I don't want to even touch it so no one will think I did this". Hey, it may not be perfect but what's to be gained by telling me it's the worst? Price was not great, so I'd just suggest you try another.

I was the Angry person that was upset and emotional with the situation that occurred with my garage door not working properly after the neighbor's new garage door opener was installed that resulted in my garage door not working properly. I have since worked with Smokey's Garage Door and the problem was resolved and fixed. Smokey's Garage Door did a great job following up with me and fixing my garage door opener.

I have since discussed the situation with Smokey's and the issues and problems I was having should be resolved tomorrow morning. I was happy to know that the company is willing to rectify the situation and do what is necessary to make sure their customers are satisfied and come first.

YOU SUCK! I don't believe anything you say! You Know who I am and I filled a report to the BBB. Oh wait! Do you know what that means! I put a rating of zero but it wouldn't let me!

I would never ever recommend your services to anyone. Oh that's right! I didn't request them! Your service guy left with my garage door opening and closing after you installed the neighbor's garage door opener. The service guy said it was my fault. So, after trying to re-program my garage door, it is now broken. Good Job! Way to go. Your company left my family in danger of being robbed and harmed. SHAME ON YOU!

At the end of july we were having problems with our garage door, we contacted our home warranty company "old republic" they told us the would have a garage door company call us to come look at garage door...They sent Smokeys Garage Door Service, the repairman told us the circuit board was bad on the garage opener, and that the home warranty would only fix that part. The repairman pointed out that is was an old opener and other things could go wrong with it, he suggested a new opener for 150.00 , i agreed to have it replaced. He installed new Genie opener and gave us the manual and one garager door opener button. He programmed the new button to open door and said we will have to program our cars remotes ourselves. I programmedthe remote control button incar and everything worked fine for about 4 days. On the fourth day neithet the remote button that came with garage opener nor my car remote button would work on the door. I called smokeys back and he said he would have a man come look at the problem 4 days later than when i made the call to them. The repairman showed up on a fridsy while i was at work only my 85 yr old mother was there shegavehim a note i left for him telling him the problem. When i got home she said he fixed the door but gave her no receipt or anything. I reprogrammed my car remote and everything was fine for next few days,then on tues august 6th both buttons quit working again. Icalled Smokeys and explained to them thst the same thing happened again, he had me check some sensor lights and main wall button and said that it was electrical interfearance problem, he said i would have to call GENIE COMPANY, and have them tell me how to shut all power off in my house and go breaker to breaker to diagnose where the problem is. I had no other problems with the old door opener till it just was old and went bad. I asked them to come take opener down and issue a refund to us since they were not going to come back to help us with the problem, he said "THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" he said your going to have to diagnose it yourself or call an electrision. I called home warranty company back, they inter called Smokeys and smoeys told them same thing, they will not replace or refund the product they sold us, and told the home warranty company to tell us to use the warranty card and send back to Genie.This garage opener was less than 2 weeks old and purchased and installed from Smokeys, they will not refund or replace unit, however they said we can take unit down ourselves and bring it to there office and give us an instore credit to buy something else!!!! BEWARE...Old republic is now sending a new company out to diagnose the problem, and they now know how Smokeys business operates!

I've used these guys 3 times in the past (different houses) and would recommend then easily. Friendly, honest, good folks that came and got the job done.

Looks like there's a trend here. My homeowner's warranty company sent Smokey's out to my house where my mother, too, was waiting. They did not do repair, did not call to inform me of not repairing, nor did they call to make arrangements to make new appointment but they sure did collect their fee. They relied on my elderly mother to inform us which was not her responsibility. She was not even adequately informed to do so nor was she authorized. They refused to come out and fix without charging another fee. Ridiculous. Filed complaint with warranty company and the BBB. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The son of the owner, Austin, came to my house when my mother was there wating for him and was EXTREMELY rude to her. Now my mother is a 76 year old, kind hearted gentle woman who was doing me a favor by waiting at the house for 4 hours for this company to show up and repair my garage. However Austin took advanatge of her gentle nature by insulting her and being rude from the start. When she mentioned to him what she thought was wrong with it (I left a detailed list of what was going on with the opener)..he responded "I dont have time to listen to you" and took his ladder off his truck and went into the garage...when she questioned why he was disconnecting the garage door opener when that was not party of the problem, he said "You know, I am done here!", took his ladder and left. I cannot believe that a person would treat a customer that way. My mother has never been treated like this in her life by someone and was very upset and insulted. To actually have this employee be the SON of the OWNER shows what a spoiled brat this kid is and how he was raised. It also shows the lack of integrity that this business has in dealing with the public. The owner and the son should both hold their heads down in shame for treating a customer this way. You want to be treated badly....call this customer....if you want a little respect...move on and choose another! SHAMEFUL!!!!

The spring broke on the garage door. Called up Smokey's to fix under warrenty. They would not honor. Was told that the records were not in order since the son took over.Need a new door now and went elsewhere.

I am pleased to use and refer Smokey's garage. They've taken care of our family for over 20 years. Short and sweet, they are the best!!! Thank you Smokey's for 20+ great years.!!

I have used Smokey's garage door multiple times over the years. They're always on time, the price is right and the customer service is superb. My neighbors have all tried other companies around town, they always get up sold with stuff they didn't need and have to use Smokey's in the end anyways. So if you have a garage door need just make it easy on yourself and call Smokey's FIRST!

Garage torsion springs went out in April. called the home protect and they refer me to smokey s garage door. At first i thought this place is a joke with a name like that well go figure. I call the place up to schedule an appointment and the guy at the phone (JOSH) has horrible customer service. Very short very rude and no professionalism what so ever. My appointment was schedule for that Wednesday from 10 to 2 and i had ask (JOSH) before i made the appointment that i knew what the problem was and that i wasn't going to pay them to come out and tell me what it was and that if this was a covered product thru home protect. (JOSH) persisted to say they cannot determine that at this time without sending a tech out to examine the door and that they would not charge me the dedu

I have used Smokeys for replacing a broken sprint on a garager door a few years aog, and they fixed the issue the first time. The only reason that I have not used them more is that after they fixed things, they stayed fixed.They have also given me advice and sold me parts on how to do things myself, so I would recommend them to anyone

I just talked with Josh and he informed me there was no way to schedule an appointment with a tech to fix my garage door problem during the week at 4:30 in the afternoon after I get home from work, but there business is open 6:00PM Monday thru Friday. I will never reccommmend this company to anyone I know because of this. If you are reading this I would think twice about a using a company that turns away business during a bad economy. Poor Form and Bad Customer Service.

I HIGHLY recommend Smokey's. I called in the morning and Smokey's came out the same day. The repairman was friendly and courteous, he diagnosed the problem immediately, and replaced the part at a VERY reasonable price. It's nice to find a company that offers EXCELLENT customer service.
