DON"T BUY BANKERS LIFE. I have clients that have been paying since the 90's on their long term care insurance. They have paid and still pay faithfully every month. The reason they bought the insurance was so that when they needed help to stay in their home the insurance would help pay for it. They have been been trying to use their insurance since the husbands release from the hospital last August..Both are elderly and really need help. The clients, the company providing the caregivers and other family members have done everything necessary that the company has asked them to do to process this case. Since the insurance company--BankersLife has dragged it's feet , this wonderful couple has had to cash in CD's and do other things to pay the caregiver company. They have gone to fewer and fewer hours and I believe this has added so much extra stress to their lives. It is all so un-necessary and it makes me very angry to see the way these people have been treated. I believe this treatment borders on elderly abuse. The family is not asking for anything but what is owed to them and yet this giant company,who they counted on is playing them. BankersLife has a reputation for dragging it's feet in paying claims. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON BANKERSLIFE.
