It is a family-owned and operated firm founded in 1919 by John Mariani, Sr. The firm specializes in a variety of Italian wines, including Placido, Cecchi, Sartori, Riunite and Florio. Banfi Vintners also offers wines from Chile and Australia. It operates the Banfi Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that provides financial help to build technical schools, orphanages.
