Ken Choice, General Manager at Ellacoya Barn and Grille takes advantage of minors.

Do NOT go to ELLACOYA, drive the couple extra miles and go to PATRICKS or T-Bones. ELLACOYA will OVERCHARGE YOU AND NOT CORRECT THEIR MISTAKES. The owner, Steve Buzzotta, must not have a very good handle on how his business operates. Don’t even get me started on the store. I’ve gotten deli meat and dairy products there that were days past their sell by date on multiple occasions.

Until yesterday, my family frequented this restaurant 2-3 times per week throughout the summer and they typically order the same thing every time. I sent the 3 boys to the restaurant last night without us, specifically for their early bird special. The boys were overcharged for items not clarified on the menu or by the wait staff. The waitress realized the mistake immediately and asked the manager to fix it. Then it was brought to Ken Choice’s attention and he refused and insisted that it wasn’t the restaurants fault and no $24 credit would be issued.

I’m upset that the manager, Annie, and then the general manager, Ken Choice, refused to correct their mistake. What is even worse is I went in the next day to discuss with Ken Choice, face to face, explained to him our family has been there 20+ times this summer and he still flat out refused to correct their mistake.

What is too bad is that the restaurant is ok and one of only a few in Gilford. Some of the regular waitresses are very nice but there are a number of very rude and bitchy staff that either hate their job or hate their lives and take it out on patrons. I saw one yell at an elderly man in front of an entire dining room because he moved to an empty table next to his. I’ve never seen such disregard for customers in my entire life than I witnessed at this restaurant by Ken Choice and many of the staff members he and Steve Buzzotta allow to remain employed there. Do yourself a favor and go to T-Bones, Patricks or any place other than Ellacoya Barn and Grille. Life is too short and you don't need the hassle.
