When my husband and I decided to get a new puppy, we knew we wanted her to go to puppy training. We met Meridith Caver at an event and saw that she had very well behaved dogs with her. One of her dogs was the same breed as ours. She told us about her business, The Polished Pooch, and shortly after that we enrolled our pup, Millie, in the puppy training class. We were so impressed with all that she learned in such a short time and how quickly Meridith had her responding to not only basic commands, but also things we specifically wanted to work on as well. We appreciated how Meridith explained what they went over in each session so we could discuss ways to work on different things at home.

After Millie turned a year, we still wanted her to go see "Miss" Meridith and have regular interaction with other dogs. We now send her to doggy day camp once a week where she receives excellent care and has play time with her "friends". We can't say enough positive things about The Polished Pooch and Meridith Caver and how great she is with the dogs. We have also boarded our dog with Meridith and were thrilled with the care she received and the fun she had! I highly recommend The Polished Pooch for training, camp and boarding services.

After our "problem dog" was dismissed from 2 other local trainers, we found Meridith Caver and The Polished Pooch. We knew from the moment we met, that her training was different then the others, mainly because of her heart! She does this not for the money but because it is her true passion! Her ability to work with the dogs AND us, as well, was amazing! Her training school is in Germantown, TN and she also has a wonderful daycamp that our now "honor student" attends weekly! This is a no brainer, Meridith is simply the best when it comes to passionate training!!

I have three, four legged...

I have three, four legged babies. My youngest is Holly. She is a three year old Labrador Retriever. She is very well behaved. I love all my dogs

just the same but Holly, by far has the very best manners. I had nothing at

all to do with her wonderful behavior. I give credit and credit alone to Meridith Caver.

Meridith’s face was very familiar to me as I had seen her many times in

my vet’s office which was also her place of employment. Before I ever met

Meredith personally I had heard of her. Let me explain...

My son and I had rescued a dog. We weren’t quite sure of his temperament and in fact were a bit afraid of him. I called around to the various shelters and to a few people I knew who worked with dogs.

Meridith’s name kept coming up over and over. Meridith Caver would be

excellent to look at this dog...there is a girl at Forest Hill Animal Hospital, her name is Meridith, you should talk to her. We did just that and she checked out the dog and his temperament for us. She even gave us another name to call if we felt we needed another opinion. The rescue’s name was

Max and he had a very happy ending. He went to live with a policeman and his family in his forever home and they will testify to what a good dog he is.

Max has Meridith to thank because the day we rescued him he was scheduled to be put down. Needless to say, I was very impressed. This was

just the beginning of our relationship with Meridith.

I would bring Holly to the vet’s office for her regular shots and check-ups. At around a year old she would arrive like a bull in a china shop dragging me all the way. The sweet girls at the front were always so kind to

me as I brought this full of energy girl in. One day I ask for a recommendation for a trainer for Holly. One of the girls mentioned Meridith and her Puppy School and we enrolled immediately.

Holly was an eager student and loved going to Puppy School and spending time with Meridith and all her four legged friends. We use to laugh because Holly was the oldest and biggest in her class. The transformation in Holly was incredible. She started obeying commands, she was learning manners, she could do tricks...all of this because of Meridith and her gift for working with animals. Holly loved Meridith and her Lab; Trotter, which by the way having been trained by his Mama is the

best behaved and smartest dog I have ever seen. I was thrilled that Holly was a student under Meridith’s guidance. Meridith had made a world of

difference in Holly’s behavior!

We then received a double bonus in that Meridith starting taking care of Holly when we had to be out of town. I was thrilled having one less thing to worry about when we were away. I knew Holly was happy, well cared for and learning all the while we were gone. My dogs are a part of my family and I love them dearly. I would leave any of the three in Meredith’s care and be thrilled to do so. My son and I think she is absolutely fabulous and we have one Lab who would say the same if only she could.

We have since moved out of state and we miss Meridith terribly. We have not found anything or anyone who can replace or even come close to Meridith and her Puppy School!!!

Holly still displays her good manners...I only wish she could share those lessons learned with her Sheltie brother and sister!!!

Thank you Meridith for everything. We love you and miss you lots. Good luck in your training career! In our eyes, you are without a doubt...

The Very Best!!!

Sincerely,

Lindsay and Turner West
