Peter Jung recently completed a home inspection at my home (I am the seller) in Reston, VA. When he arrived, the heat was working. When he left, the heat was not because Mr. Jung was unfamiliar with how to close the front panel on my 11 year old furnace. He taped the safety switch (using painter tape) in the on position and was unable to properly close the panel, which led to the malfunctioning of my previously operating furnace. With the furnace left off, and the temperature dipping below freezing, a pipe in my front bathroom froze and flooded my home which was under contract and unoccupied. This was less than 48 hours after my realtor had been made aware of any (non-existent) "issues" with my furnace. An emergency HVAC technician came to my house, diagnosed and fixed the problem (removed painter tape and closed furnace panel properly) within "30 seconds" according to his own statement. When asked to accept minimal responsibility by paying for my insurance deductible, Mr. Jung declined.

Mistakes happen, but when they do it is a business owner's responsibility to accept responsibility, apologize and move on. Mr. Jung is not fit to inspect homes, run a business. Please do not reward his unwillingness to do the right thing and opting to stick my family with an extra $2,500 bill because of his mistake. DO NOT USE PETER JUNG TO INSPECT YOUR HOME.
