**IN AN EMERGENCY CALL 911** Williamson County Emergency Medical Services is a part of the office of Williamson County in Texas. Located in Georgetown, Texas, the department responds to emergency medical calls and nonemergency patient transfers between hospitals throughout the county. It also provides continuing emergency medical training for affiliated first responder organizations. Its staff comprises professionals certified and licensed by the Department of State Health Services. It has more than 10 stations handling over 20,000 calls annually. It offers more than 70 hours of continuing education to paramedic personnel. The department also provides quarterly classes that include lectures, hands-on skills and interactive learning classes. Williamson County Emergency Medical Services offers various public education programs, such as W.H.A.L.E., safety awareness and child safety seat inspection.
