Plenty Of Fish has been meeting there by the river Wed evenings. All the remarks have been favorable. The folks that like extra spices only have to bring their own or request commonly used spices to get more. :)

My husband and I had the opportunity to dine at El Monumento and our dining experience was absolutely one of the very best! The staff were excellent, the restaurant is brand new and has an inner court yard that that is like an open plaza with plants and a water feature, just a quiet and relaxing dining atmosphere. There is also an outside patio which overlooks the San Gabriel river, then there is the inner restaurant. Soft lights, nice comfortable furniture.



Now to the best part... The food... The food was some of the best I have ever eaten. The spices were not overpowering, but subtle and complimented the dish, instead of burning the pallet or overwhelming the taste buds.



All in all one of the most enjoyable dining experiences around. I can highly recommend this restaurant to one and all!

The ambiance and service was fantastic, but the food was bland at best. It just lacked any flavor. Definitely not worth the price. If they got some new cooks or recipes, they'd have my business. My wife went there twice, and I've been once, and that will be it for a while.

El monumento has good servIce and good food. Lorena was an excellent watress.

Today was my second visit. This lovely place has a long way to go on getting their good food going. Lack of seasoning, dryness, no cup of coffee. Come on! This is Georgetown. French Press is fine, but just one cup of coffee??? Step up the flavor in your main courses. PLEASE WORK IT OUT. I want you to succeed.

We are vegan and this restaurant had 2 wonderful meals for us to eat. The building design is so beautiful. The chips and salsas were good too

El Monumento was a nice dining experience. The food was good !! The service was great!!!

The interior is very nice. The food was also good. A person needs to remember the food is interior Mexico, not tex-mex. I plan to be a regular customer.

El Monumento was absolutely fantastic! The food was great and everyone there was extremely nice! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and peaceful. I can't explain enough how wonderful the food was- not your ordinary tex-mex! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I thought the food was amazing. The guacamole was the best I have ever had. The swiss chard/sweet potato enchiladas were perfect. I tried two desserts. The strawberry shortcake tres leches and the molten cake. The molten cake was the best dessert I have ever tried. The beans and the rice were a little bland. Other than that the rest of the food tasted like a little bit of heaven. Will make this a regular place to go out to eat.

What a great experience, dining at El Monumento, during their 'soft' opening. The food was delightful. We tried several entries...Duck, Ribs, Sirion, ..all were excellent! Residents will not have to drive to Austin for a '5' star experience! The resturant exceeded our expectations and I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu.

this is not a Tex Mex joint. It is "interior Mexican food". The food is exquisite! I had the Red Snapper and never had better. Wonderfully tasteful and gorgeously presented. Th surrondings are the most peaceful and beautiful I have seen anywhere in this area. If you want a great dining experience, this is the place
