The service department is not to be trusted. They did a job for me sometime ago and I had no issues. The part failed well over a year later. I went to Preferred Auto who covered the part but not the labor, fine, not uncommon. The issues came when they too busy to work on my vehicle, I opted to have some one else repair they refused to give me the part even after I gave them the core of the alternator. Outrageous !! My mechanics had to call there and Preferred allowed them to come get it, not me. They made up stories saying the part wasn't at their shop all to avoid handing me the part.
