Provided by YP.comOber Gatlnburg is a very interesting place during the summer. It bills itself as an amusement park, but it is actually more of an action park than anything. In order to get to the top of the mountain where it is located, you have to take an aerial tramway. It is a unique ride with great views. The boarding station at the bottom also has a mall and a pace to observe the machinery that runs the tramway. Once you finish the ride to the top, you enter the mall at the top of the mountain. Inside is an indoor ice skating rink, a small carousel, an arcade, a bugee run, a velcro wall, concession stands, and a ticket booth. Outside, there is a wildlife encounter, mini golf, water slides, a kiddie area, a chairlift, and an alpine slide. The wildlife encounter has bears, otters, and a nocturnal house with raccoons, skunks, flying squirrels, turtles, and snakes. The mini gold was well themed. The water slides were very fast and got you soaked! The kiddie area had a playground and kiddie rides. The chairlift goes higher than the Gatlinburg Sky Lift. The alpine slide was accessible only by taking the chairlift, which was kind of a ripoff. The ticket prices were pretty expensive, but they were worth it. The facilities are old but well maintained. I'd love to visit Ober Gatlinburg in the winter when you can ski.
