As much as I hate to write this, I have been left without any choice but to inform potential clients of Mr. Abrams work ethics.

Several weeks back my mother who is almost eighty years of age hired Mr. Abrams to lay a new floor (12’x4’ walking space) in her galley kitchen. The floor looked great when first completed. That is until nails started coming through the tile. First one, then two, and now a good half dozen or more nails have made their way to the surface of the tile. Not good on the feet!

After a phone conversation, Mr. Abrams was set to come back out and repair his work. No worries on the part of my mother or me, after all things happen. In addition, as Mr. Abrams stated, “His word is good, and he always stands by his word and work” so why worry, right?

Unfortunately, Mr. Abrams failed to repair his work. The first excuse, Mr. Abrams called to cancel, due to a “big job” he was working on. Second issue, a new appointment was made, but Mr. Abrams was a no show, no call yet again, and now he would not return calls. The third and final issue was after I finely spoke with Mr. Abrams, he informed me of not one, but two deaths in his family. Still being on Mr. Abrams side (I know what you are thinking) I rescheduled yet another appointment to repair the work that looked good, but was substandard, alas, Mr. Abrams was again a no show or call.

Numerous calls, from both my mother and myself have gone unanswered by Mr. Abrams. We unfortunately have given up on Mr. Abrams, and his good word.

My contract with your mother Alice was to install a TrafficMaster Ceramica 12"x12" vinyl tile stick down over subfloor only. Nails came up thru the sub-floor and punctured a hole in the tile I laid. That's not my fault. I did not build the floor. I just stuck tile to it. I'm not at fault here. If my tile installation resulted in pealing up, that would be one thing and I would fix. And yes, not only 2 family members died, but 3. If you feel that laying my tile down resulted in nails poping up thru subfloor, I would like a report by an inspector or contractor stating so. Sorry for your problems. Might want to take it up with the apartment complex.
