I highly recommend this diner. The shrimp & grits were amazing and they are not stingy with shrimp. Great up close and personal atmosphere.

It’s just a little hole in the wall but we had really good meals every time we ordered no matter what we ordered. Their portions were good sizes and right for the pricing. We never ate a meal inside the restaurant we always took to go so we could take it to our hotel room and enjoy it.

Gumbo is ok, not worth the $16 though. My bowl only had 2 oysters, a restaurant that calls itself gumbo diner should serve better than ammature quality gumbo, the broth was too runny, and did not have the spice typically found in Cajun cuisine. Much to be desired here, chef needs to come from Louisiana, this is Mexican gumbo.

Rude staff

I've dined here on a few occasions...good food, but lacking in customer service including the manager. I'd also recommend serving lunch menu items during breakfast hours for those who want something other than just eggs and bacon.

Food's just OK, very cold inside, a little pricey, portions are small, lady acting as manager during breakfast is pretty rude & really doesn't care about your complaint.

Get here early for breakfast: limited parking and very popular: leave room for beignets or take some home. Seafood omelet is delicious.

The manager is the rudest lady ever

I called to ask a question and Lalah or whoever the manager is was the rudest person I have ever dealt with on the phone! She was very sarcastic and unless you liked to be talked down to I do not recommend.
