The barbeque was not all that good. The chicken and downtown sausage were some of the worst we ever tasted. The ribs, chopped beef and brisket were okay but nothing great. There are so many better barbeque places to eat than this hole in the wall.



We went in on a Sunday near closing time and felt rushed to eat and get out the whole time we were there. We went in because we were visiting Galveston for the day and had a $5 off coupon from the Entertainment Book. Leon said he does not advertise in this book and did not know why the coupon was in there. He would not honor our coupon. We also got charged several dollars more for each plate because of the meat we selected, even though there was not, even though there was no mention of this.



Definitely pass on this place. We would never go back. This was one of the worst barbeque places we ever ate. World's finest barbeque is definitely false advertisement as it is NOT.

Leon's BBQ took me back to a place that my father and I frequented when I was a child. A place where the people were caring and friendly and the food was just downright delicious! My husband and I bought two-two meat dinners and EVERYTHING was finger licking good. My only regret was buying one piece of their homemade pecan pie because it turned out to be as delicious as the food! Congratulations and hats off to Leon's BBQ
