We have taken our dogs (3 of them) to Veterinary Associates for 13 years. The care and professional service they offer has always been exemplary. They have preformed surgeries as well as day to day health care and shots. When the time came to euthanize Molly because of cancer they even came to our farm so she was not stressed out going into the office. These people care. I commute to Galena every week. They helped me with an emergency when my young puppy broke her leg 13 years ago . I then started bringing all my dogs here as their primary Vet. We have been very satisfied and will continue to bring our dogs to them.

Please do not take your loved ...

Please do not take your loved pets to these veterinarians. They are only interested in your money and would not hesitate to hurt and euthanize your loving living dog if you cannot afford their services. Besides that, I suffered a physical attack by two of the doctors: Dr. Christy Moris and Dr. Blaine Nicks.

I took my 5 year old Airedale Terrier named Willow to this clinic because she was shot in her front leg. They wanted $1500.00 for the amputation and I could not afford that so I wanted my dog back to take her to another veterinarian the next day. They refused to give me my dog back. They said it was animal abuse to take her home in that condition. The 3 doctors gave a professional opinion that the dog needed to be put down because they determined that the dog was dying and they wanted to do it for me, for free. I said no, I want my Willow back, give her to me! They said that it was illegal that I only had two choices: Amputation or Euthanasia, period. Since I could not afford the 1500.00 of the amputation, my only choice left was to kill her!

I said no, I want my dog back and I offered to sign a release discharging the veterinarians from any responsibility by not assisting my injured dog. Without my consent they "assisted" her was by creating the impenetrable wrapping over a dirty and infected leg, with no possibility of fresh air in the wound. They literally "cooked" the leg with heat, moisture and dirt in a hot August day! Please look at the picture with the blue wrapping, this is totally devious and inhumane! And these people, Dr. Christy Moris, Dr. Blaine Nicks and Dr. Catherine Smith call themselves Veterinarians! What a shame they wanted to kill my poor Willow. The first three layers of the impenetrable wrapping was seram wrap over the unclean wound...Because they wanted to kill my baby!

When I tried to pick my 100 lb dog, Dr. Christy Moris assaulted me by grabbing me from my left shoulder and injuring it then Dr. Blaine Nicks tackled me from behind my neck and pinned me to the ground riding me as if he was riding a horse, I was laid flat on my back. Simultaneously Dr. Katherine Smith was fabricating the impenetrable bandage specifically designed to kill the dear Willow by gangrene. Less than 15 hours later Dr. Teasdale amputated the rotting limb. I am going to start a lawsuit against these veterinarians for assault and malpractice, I will make sure this does not happen to another animal lover. I will send the proof of their misconduct to the appropriate Licensing organization to have the licenses of the three doctors cancelled. These people are dangerous and should not be practicing veterinarians. The above review is based on true facts that occurred on August 1st 2013and there are four Police reports about these incident.

These veterinarians are dangerous and incompetent and the only thing they are interested is in your bu$ine$$ and not in

your pet. Three of their veterinarians, Dr. Christy Moris, Dr. Catherine Smith and Dr. Blaine Nicks said that my dog Willow needed to be euthanized and I refused. At first they did not want to give me my dog back because they said that my dog was dying and that taking her home in that state was animal abuse, finally the Police was called and they allowed me to take Willow home. Before that, they wrapped her injured and dirty leg with a very elaborate wrapping where the first three layers over the dirty wound was seram wrap and then lots of gauze on top to hide the plastic wrap. Then they sealed the leg with a rubber membrane, so the leg will rot. And it did. Dr. Teasdale saved my Willow. Do not go to Veterinary Associates of Galena, you will regret it.
