Pump It Up in Gaithersburg is the absolute worst kids party place ever! We had our twins birthday there and one twin needed to be taken out of the facility on a stretcher because of their gross negligence. They mopped the floor and encouraged him to run in to the room. After his head literally bounced on the floor, he could not walk straight, holding on to the walls and a friend. We sued and they had to settle out of court for $30,000 to get it quiet and out of the public. My son temporarily lost his vision and has severe concussion symptoms for several months. After the lawyers fees and medical he gets $13,000. Hardly worth a birthday in a crappy old warehouse. DO NOT GO THERE. Owners do not care about kids, staff is incompetent!

This place is a bit hard to find and I was a bit reluctant to come after the other reviews but when I went in I was surprised to see that it was nothing like the other people were saying. I had mentioned that I had heard bad things about this place and they said that they were under new management and that the previous "managers" were all let go. I really liked the structure they had for the pop-in playtime. The staff member that worked the jump was pleasant, as was the manager at the front desk. It looks like this place has taken notes and has improved quite a bit.

They hardly ever answer the phone. Very disappointed in the party that we attended here. We were thinking of having a party here too but now we will not. The employees are really bad-totally uninterested in helping the customers in any way.

I was so excited when this business came to town and hoped that it would offer my 3 kids something to do on rainy days and days off from school. I've now attended one party, been to one open gym and attempted to go to two open gyms. I will NOT be going back again. PERIOD.



The owner is NEVER present here and the "manager" is a woman who makes Patrick Starr look like a more capable employee. NO ONE mans the back of the inflatables during open gym and they NEVER answer they phone. They fill up at a max of 35 kids and don't take reservations like their competitors at BounceU do (who also answer their phones pleasantly, I might add and have enthusiastic party captains). So you go, you show up (because you can't get anyone on the phone to ask or you actually DO and they say "come in") only to have open gym not actually happening like they said it was going to ("come back in 2 hours" is what they told me today) or filled up. It is managed so incredibly poorly and it is so, so obvious that there is no owner on site who is following up or making sure that things are running smoothly. This business is doomed to fail and we will NOT be going back again. When I told the manager that today, she rolled her eyes with a nonchalant "whatever"...they don't care about your business, your kids or their safety.
