It was my friends birthday so we all decided to go bowling at the new and improved 300 bowling which was a regular bowling alley before. The place was nice but we had many problems last night. One of our friends brought a cake she made, and as soon as she walked in they asked what party she was with. When the name of the party wasn't on their list the employee continued to say that there was a $25 cake cutting fee which we had no problem with and agreed to pay. When we started to walk in she said that we couldn't bring in the cake unless we paid the fee that we had already agreed to pay. We were told throughout the night that we had to pay a cake fee by pretty much everyone who worked there. It got really annoying and the people that worked there should have been told that we had been previously informed about the fee. We bowled a game and stepped outside with our bowling shoes on and we were told we had to take them off before going outside so we did. After being inside for 2 hours already, we stepped outside again and when we came back inside we were stopped by the same woman who kept hassling us about the cake fee. She told our friend that she wasn't allowed in after she had been inside for 2 hours. The reason was because she had a pair of jeans that had slits in the knees which are how she bought them, its in style. Their policy on a really small sign by the door had their dress code. After we tried to reason with them and explain that we had been inside for 2 hours and that we had a party of 25+ inside which is a big group they still insisted on not letting her in which was their fault for not mentioning it when they stopped her at the beginning about the cake fee. The manager was being very unreasonable and we told him that we were going to call corporate and go online and write bad reviews because we were unsatisfied. He acted like he didn't care if we did that and looked around the place at the crowd and then said "I think we'll be just fine without your business." The head chef was also involved in the conversation and he was ready to throw us out because he felt that since he had nothing to say that the conversation was over. Lastly, they have an over 21 policy after 10pm and they make you wear a wristband but don't check your ID to make sure that you are 21. There were plenty of young kids in there that could have easily got a wristband. For a new and improved bowling alley which is trying to hold a 5 star image, their employees have a 1 star attitude and have no customer service skills whatsoever.
