Russell Terry, MD, is an assistant professor and director of minimally invasive surgery education and new technologies in UF College of Medicine's department of urology.Dr. Terry earned his medical degree with research honors at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. He completed his urology residency training at the University of Florida College of Medicine. After residency, he then completed his fellowship training in endourology, metabolic stone disease, laparoscopic and robotic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.Prior to joining University of Florida Health, Dr. Terry served for two years as a clinical associate in Duke University Medical Center's department of surgery's division of urology. While at Duke, he was twice awarded the Duke Health Gold Star Award for Exceptional Service. During his fellowship training, he received the Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar award for his research investigations into laser lithotripsy innovations for the treatment of kidney stones.Dr. Terry's clinical interests include the minimally invasive treatment of kidney stones, medical therapy for the prevention of kidney stones and the use of laparoscopic and robotic modalities to treat benign and malignant conditions of the prostate and upper urinary tract.
