Childers’ is a name you can trust as we have been serving the Gaffney area since 1951.  John O. Childers started the business as Childers Sheet Metal, and for years they specialized in roofing, guttering, sheet metal works, and furnace installation for central heating systems.  In the early 60′s air conditioning was a rarity if not a novelty.  We began installing air conditioning along with furnaces more frequently toward the end of the decade. With the housing boom in the early 70′s central air conditioning was a must, and in 1977 after John O. Jr. graduated from Clemson, we began selling Bryant Heating & Cooling products. In the early 80′s, John Jr. became president of the company, and later we changed the name to Childers’ Heating & Air Conditioning.  Through the 32 years of association with Bryant, Childers’ Heating & Air has consistently been a Top Ten Bryant Dealer in South Carolina, a Medal of Excellence Award winner, and the Bryant Dealer of the Year in Add-On and Replacement Sales.  We have received the President’s Award of excellence and recognized repeatedly for exceeding sales goals.  We have been voted the Cherokee Chronicle’s “Best of the Best” Heating & Air Conditioning Company 8 of the 9 years the contest has been held.
