A sad review. Mikado was one of my favorite restaurants. Today we had the worse service that we have ever had in any restaurant to date. We were in a party of 4. To begin 3 of us received our drinks in a timely manner, however, my husband received his wine approx 10 to 15 minutes later, after searching for the waitress. Two dinners were served and after 20 to 30 minutes the other two dinners we were told were not ready yet because there was only one chef. May I add that this was lunch time noon and the restaurant was not busy at all. After speaking with the "manager" we were not offered any resolution. In fact we were treated in a very rude manner. We sat back down and waited patiently while the 2 meals already served grew cold. We waited another 5 min. the 2 served meals by this time were so cold they were inedible. Time passed and we decided to leave. What a shame, the food is usually very good but the service was terrible and the attitudes rude. .

last night was the first time i tried miksdo, what a great expierence. the food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the sushi was awesome. so much to choose from. we tried 3 different types and all were very tasty. i was very impressed with how fresh the ingredients were both in the sushi and at the grill. watching the chef prepare our food was a treat.. cannot wait to go back again.

Excellent Sushi, great service, appealing decor.

We visited this restaurant for the first time a couple months ago strictly for sushi. The food was fresh and the presentation was wonderful! Everyone must try the lobster roll - great!!

As you enater the mikado Japanese steakhouse all your senses are alit with lovely tables bars and nice smiling faces the food is excuset and the prices are moderate g of theftd is a sight in itself the lovely cooking method is to die for in all an incredible experience and id recommend it to anyone

This is a casual, friendly place to dine. We were greeted by the manager and were seated quickly. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The sushi chef was excellent and friendly. There was anything you could want in sushi and it was prepared with a sure hand. The rolls were properly prepared and the fish was actually large enough to be visible with the naked eye. It was all very tasty and the textures were well thought out. There were a few tidbits offered while the actual preperation was going on. Our second trip to Mikado was with friends and we sat at the traditional grill. I ordered a small amount of sushi as an appetizer and standard fare from the grill. The grill chef was still in learning mode but did very well and the food was well prepared and, as usual in these restaurants, there was plenty of it. All of us left satisfied and knowing we would be back. Since then we have returned two more times and were met with the same excellent food, people and service.
