I'm pleased with their work and the people they send. The difference between Richard Yard and a fine restaurant is Richard Yard is more consistently excellent. I've floundered with others but learned it's worth paying a small premium for the best.
I've had at least 4 occasions to call a plumber since moving to my 200 year-old home. It would take pages to cite examples of how thorough, neat, professional and reliable Richard Yard is. It knows the code, follows the code, and doesn't leave issues to resolve when the day comes to sell my home.
Few know to fuel a stove or barbecue, you must supply service sufficient to sustain the appliance when all burners are operating. I've a grill with 3 main burners, 2 monstrous side burners, a smoker and a rotisserie burner. Rich Yard required I provide the model number and total BTUs my grill might demand at once. He did the same when I converted my stove to natural gas. While I paid more than someone whose plumber would have taken a short cut, my 30-year old grill has never seared tuna and steak as it now does.
My kitchen drain clogged and I paid Richard Yard to snake the drain. They were here in a day, did it, and explained the drain had an uphill run which caused slow draining and would clog next year. They installed a new drain line, removed an old sewer pipe and properly pitched the new drain in a 200-year old house with stone walls, 6 x 6 floor joists, and finished in half a day.
To keep this short, I can't relate all issues they met and solved, but I must relate they do not leave the job without cleaning up, removing debris and vacuuming after themselves. They leave no dust, dirt, or construction debris. As they enter and leave to make trips to their truck, they don and remove shoe booties every time. They show and explain and work efficiently. As a bonus, their reputation precedes them, so when the plumbing inspector comes, he breezes in and out. I’ve chosen well.

Called this company as refferal with an emergency service of no water. was told someone would call back and let me know what time someone could get there, waited 6 hours before i got call back saying they wouldnt be able to get there and never even offered a time frame they could help. Not a very accommodating company to deal with.
