Krueger Roofing did not install any kind of water barrier under the metal valleys. The water barrier is code according to our building inspector. As a result, the water that leaked in destroyed a drop ceiling in the bedroom and it has to be replaced. It also caused damage to the dining room ceiling. The metal valleys have to be taken off, put down a water barrier, replace the shingles that have been taken back 4 feet. Then replace the valleys. With the water barrier between the roof boards and the barrier, the birds won't be able to get into the attic.I don't know what the repairs will cost, but I'm estimating between $4,000.00 and $6,000.00. Apparently Krueger is going to make me pay those costs. It is a shame that a business can operate like that and get away with it. I will see if I have any legal recourse.
