Provided by YP.comThis place is awesome. I went there most recently with my wife's father, who is a history buff. I'm not, but the tour really makes you think you can relate to what the folks witnessed during the Civil War battle, having to hide in the basement. The tour route is compact as the house, other buildings, museum, etc. are so close together. Made it easy for some of the older set who wouldn't do as well on walking tours. Our guide knew so much history, and answered every question well, without hesitation.
In a previous year, our family went there before Christmas and they had it decorated appropriately for the season with people in the rooms dressed as if they were there in the 1800s.
Definitely, I'm recommending a tour of this place for people who live in Franklin, some of whom drive by there regularly without even noticing it.

Provided by YPmobileThis is a mansion that was the scene of one of the battles during the Civil War. We saw lots of places that were damaged during this battle, as well as the basement where the family and their few slaves hid while the war was going on.
