I am handicapped and wheelchair bound and would like to know if the Dentist and Hygenist will work on me while I am in my wheelchair. Also if the offices are wheelchair accessible. no steps, no bumps, no high door sills.

My son had two superficial fillings done, no anesthesia needed was there maybe for ten minutes. I paid a copayment of $95 and now they are charging me $195 more. They billed the insurance $240 per tooth, of course the insurance didn't cover the whole thing so I'm responsible for the balance. But my husband, my other two children are petience also, so they refused to see my husband and finish the treatment that they started because someone has to pay my son's balance. I told them I'm responsible for my son's balance but I was going to look into with the insurance they are over charging for the service they did on my son. My husband has nothing to do with it. He has an open tooth and they don't want to see him. Before my husband and I we had pay over $10,000 and they are making all this situation for a bill that I have all the right to dispute. But to refuse to finish my husband treatment it is totally unprofessional.

Over billed me and never followed through to fix the situation even after they admitted they made an insurance mistake. I paid them the co pay immediately after treatment and have yet to hear from them as to how they will reimburse me.

Island Dental Associates is a dental practice. Everyone is extremely nice and the dentists are knowledgeable and care about their patients. They have numerous services ranging from general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry to orthodontist, periodontist, implant and denture specialists and are conveniently located right on Hempstead Tpke. Each treatment room has cable television and stereo headphones and the waiting room has a fireplace, complimentary internet and a waiting room with video games for kids. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist.
