Franklin City Hall is the primary city government complex for the City of Franklin, N.H. Franklin, located in Merrimack County in New Hampshire, was incorporated in 1828 and has a population of more than 8,000 residents. Located at the confluence of the Pemigewasset River and the Winnepesaukee Rivers and the beginning of the Merrimack River, Franklin is recognized as the smallest city in New Hampshire. Among the city s offerings are Webster Lake with two public beaches and a boat ramp; the Veterans Memorial Ski Area; and an Opera House in the process of restoration that continues to offer programs for the arts and entertainment. City Hall houses the assesors office, city clerk, city manager, finance department, mayor s office and city zoning/planning office.
