I went in to purchase a new rear wheel for my grandsons Diamondback BMX. The sales person had to ask 2 people and look it up in some catalog before he found one he could get. Surprising, seeing as it’s not an unpopular bike, but ok. He needs to order it, so I give him my name, 3 times, and phone number, twice, pay and we’re set. Tells me it’ll be available in a week and they’ll call when it’s in. That’s the extent of the conversation.

1st week. No call. I check in and they say they don’t see it so maybe there wasn’t enough to make an order from that vendor this week. Not my problem, but ok. 2nd week. No call. I call. They can’t find it. Must not be in yet. I’m getting perturbed. Decide I’ll wait til the weekend then if it’s not in I’ll cancel and go somewhere else.

My wife goes in and low and behold, it’s there! The invoice has my name spelled wrong, after three spellings and only 5 digits of
My phone number, after asking me twice. How on earth were they ever going to contact me????? Sribbled across the top in marker is “no refunds”. Excuse me???? Was NEVER mentioned. Ever. Else I’d have gone someplace else. Fortunately I know my rights with my credit card and am well versed in how to do a chargeback.

The sales person tells my wife that if we have trouble assembling it to bring it in and they’ll take care of it. We haven’t had time to work on it over the past 3 weeks so my wife decided to take it in, get it assembled and just be done with it.

They just now sent her away telling her “we don’t know how to assemble this one. Try another shop!”

Are you kidding me?????

It’s not like we have some off brand, crappy bike here. It may not be the top of the line but it’s not an uncommon bike.

So I guess as soon as I call my credit card company I’ll take their advice. And I’d completely recommend anybody else do the exact same thing.

Best play to get educated abou...

Best play to get educated about biking and buying a bike. I bought my road bike here a few years back and brought my boyfriend in to get his hybrid bike this past weekend for his birthday. The employees are always helpful and really do try and find you the best deals. They also order form other stores or warehouse if your size/color/style isn't available at their store.



They have a buyers card program that gives you points back on your purchases, and gives you access to sweet deals and coupons. Best place to get your gear!
