Dr. William Moore is board certified in pain medicine and practices interventional pain management in Fort Worth and Arlington Texas. He focuses on treatment of the spine, and utilizes a wide range of endoscopic spine procedures and minimally invasive techniques to treat neck and back pain. A lifelong Texan born in Laredo, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. He went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by a residency in Anesthesiology at Ochsner Clinic Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Moore completed his fellowship training in Pain Medicine and Interventional Pain Management at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. Although always interested in medicine as a career, he focused on interventional pain management because of its dynamic quality. “It’s an area of extreme innovation,” he says. “In the past, spine treatment involved non-invasive physical therapy or a large surgical intervention. There was not a place in the middle that could affect a patient’s quality of life. Now, new developments allow minimally invasive access to specific nerves, joints and discs with very small incisions and a short recovery time. They provide a dramatic change in patients’ wellbeing.” Dr. Moore comes to PPOA from Capstone Pain and Spine Center, with three locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Previously, he served as an assistant professor in the Pain Management/Anesthesiology Department at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, International Pain Institute. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the North American Spine Society, Texas Pain Society, Texas Medical Association, and the Tarrant County Medical Society. Dr. Moore speaks English and Spanish. He and his wife have three children. The family enjoys the outdoors and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks and Rangers

Use this practice with caution

I had been seeing Dr. Moore for chronic pain management, and he did a fair job providing it, then about 4 month ago, on a busy day, I waited over an hour just for my Rx's, my nightmare began. They took the directions for one of my meds and put it only one of my other meds. Because I was tired and in pain, I didn't notice until they repeated the error a second time. When I called the office, the medical assistant refused to consider it was an error and told me it was ordered that way, I would have to make another appt, and pay another $30 copay, if I wanted to talk to the doctor or PA. I thought the error was fixed, they told me they didn't give physical Rxs anymore, they would send it electronically. My family member brought my medication home, and I found they had made another error. I reported it and had wait 9 days without my main pain med, only to get there and find the doctor had just left. I asked the staff to catch him, which they wouldn't, so I had to come back the next day, in pain, frustrated and tired. When I got there,a doctor I had never met before told me that, yes, they had made an error, which they wouldn't admit the first two times. He fixed the error & handed me a physical Rx for it. Then the office manager came in and told me they wouldn't see me any longer because I had gotten angry with them and yelled at the medical assistant and hung up on them out of frustration. After taking my break through pain med every 2 hours for 9 days to partially control my pain, I was in pain and overtired, but they had no empathy. If you use this practice, do so with caution. If they make medication errors 3 times over a few months, you have to wonder what other errors they are making.

Money his focus, not patient care

I paid my co pays and was treated during 2 visits in 2010. Six months later I began receiving bills for almost $800. After two years of harassment from the doctor, a collection agency and an adverse rating on my credit report, the doctor finally backed down when he was threatened by the insurance company with legal action for going back on his agreement not to try to collect more than the agreed upon charges with United Healthcare. He caused me more stress and grief than you can imagine. I'm sur...
