They really deserve no stars! Later we learned they are known in the industry and local area as the hospice that will drop you from continuous care as soon as possible and blame Medicare regulations. We know that's not the case because other hospices offered to take over care and, given our mother's condition, assured us they would stay until she passed. Vitas dropped our mother only 5 days after she had a major stroke and only three days before her death. During this time she was unconscious and having seizures, fever, high BP, and pain. They expected the family to monitor and administer medications and they would only drop by twice a week. The last instructions they gave before leaving us was "Call us when she dies".
