First meeting with the ENT was great. He was able to explain everything to us and made sure that we knew it was our choice if we did tubes or not. Surgery went great, and made us feel at ease. Then things went south!!!! 6 weeks postop my child got an ear infection after regular hours so I had to call the doctor oncall. His response was "Im sleeping, call back when Im up". My child was in pain, not feeling well at all and I needed to know what could be done. Needless to say we ended up in the ER where he was dx with double ear infection and needed to have an injection of strong antibiotics. Monday comes around I was finally able to call the doctor around 4 pm where I was told the office manager would call me back....I didnt get a call back. I understand doctors cant be there all of the time however if you are going to be a doctor then you need to make sure your patient load is balanced where you are able to take emergencies as they do happen.
