One must remember that the best advice on shoes should be coming from a podiatrist and not a shoe salesman.

I made the mistake of wearing MBT shoes without checking with a Dr. It took going to a few podiatrist and finding a New Balance tennis shoe to get relief from the pain caused by wearing MBT shoes.

1.) Knowledge about the back and conditions causing back pain. Richard explained how MBT shoe supported the back and strengthened the core. (Same information that I had heard from doctors, but in terms that helped me be aware of how the body actually moves during walking.)



2.) Spending time listening to customer to determine what shoe would be most beneficial for them, and making sure that the shoe fit well.



3.) After all of this...There was absolutely no pressure to purchase the shoe. The knowledge of the staff and the shoe almost sells itself!!!
