this Valero station provides exceptional customer service even though it is a self-service station. We have purchased our gas at this station for several months and have always been very satisfied with the price and quality of service. Last Friday, we stopped there to put air in a tire. As soon as we stopped at the air/water station and put our coins in the machine, a very friendly and helpful attendant came out to assist. In fact, she took over the process, which was very helpful as my husband is 80 years old and was attempting to do the job! When the compressor stopped before the front tires were aired, she hurriedly returned with more coins for the machine. As we left, we offered her a $3 tip, At first she refused saying, "That is my job." We assured her that it was a refreshing experience to find someone who volunteered to assist and that we were most appreciative. After our insistance, she accepted the tip and told us that any time we needed help, she would be glad to help. We have determined to make this our exclusive source of gas when we are not traveling and I've already told several friends about out experience.
