Just left this establishment after being referred by my Insurance BCBS, due to my current pharmacy no longer being in my network. Not sure what others experience is or was at Meadowbrook Pharmacy. However here is mine. I entered to an unfriendly/non welcoming environment. I actually felt I was an interruption to them. There was NO OTHER person waiting, so I asked a couple of simple questions before leaving my 6 prescriptions. Two of my scripts ARE controlled substances (Diazepam & Zolpidem), so I wanted to know if they carry my desired manufacture brands or would be willing to order for me as I use this medication each month and would be filling it there. The pharmacist Darrin NEVER approached me to answer my questions and would only speak through his cashier Vivian (who was NO HELP). The pharmacist flatly refused to consider my request and Vivian could only state over & over that this is a controlled substance and we are only allowed a certain amount of medication in stock. WTF?? No options whatsoever! It is professionally know in the medical industry that certain drug manufactures medications effect patience differently and some will work better than others. Many pharmacies offer brand order for their patients. For this reason my MD advised me to use specific brands that work to my benefit and are readily available through pharmacies. What I learned from my visit to Meadowbrook Pharmacy today is that 1) I will not be back. 2) Their attitude towards new customers is not good for our neighborhood. 3) they need to be aware that there are literally hundreds of pharmacies that do what they do and most likely BETTER. Lastly, if you wish to have an awesome experience with great service and a dedicated, professional pharmacist who WILL follow-up and exceed your expectations, GO TO WOODHAVEN PHARMACY. I guarantee you will not regret it.
