I have made so much progress since I have been a patient at this hospital. The wound care team has taken wonderful care of healing my wound and are conscientious of my comfort level while doing so. Tony in wound care does a great job of talking to me while he is taking care of my wound to keep my mind off of it. When I got here I was very down about having to be in the hospital and didn't really want to do anything. I often did not want to participate in physical therapy because my energy level was so low. I received lots of positive motivation from the nursing staff and techs which is eventually why I ended up going. Without that I don't think I would be doing as well as I am now. The staff here has a perfect balance of being caring while maintaining professionalism which isn't always easy. But they handle it with ease. Respiratory staff, Ruth and Tony, have provided me with so many respiratory therapy techniques that I can do on my own once I discharge. I am thankful of my time here and glad that I got to meet the wonderful people that work here!

Great experience! This has been my first time at this hospital so I was unsure of what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by this facility and the staff members that work here. I had to be here over Thanksgiving holiday which was hard. But with the help of the positive attitudes from all of the staff members that I have interacted with made it so much better for me. All of the staff is extremely compassionate about what they do and they truly do care. Any concerns that I have had while being here were handled extremely quickly and professionally by administration. My ambassador that checks on me daily is Joe. He gets me anything that I need and has a great attitude. I very much like how this hospital assigns department heads and people in administration to be "ambassadors" for specific patients and/or rooms. I know it makes me feel like my needs are heard and wanted and I'm sure the other patients feel the same. In hospitals you rarely even see administration. But here they are just another staff member walking around who wants to make sure that everything is going well for us patients. Thank you Kindred Fort Worth!

This will be my second time to leave Kindred and it is bitter sweet. I have had several nurses pray for me before leaving to go to TX Rehab. I have made many friends both times being here and will miss them all dearly. EVERYONE of the staff has been great. I will truly miss everyone from Kindred Fort Worth.

I have been at kindred for a little over a month and my stay here was better than average. The nurses are good but the one who stood out to me the most was a CNA named Kay. She had the best personality, she always had me laughing, brought me extra coffee and was always there to help. She is really good. I like her a lot. I liked everyone in therapy but they worked me out so much I am ready to get home and relax. I enjoyed Dr. Ferree he's a great doctor. Thankful for everyone at kindred but I am more than ready to go home and see family and friends.

After leaving Arlington Memorial I arrived at Kindred Hospital. This will be my second time choosing Kindred for further treatment and rehabilitation. I have been at Kindred for almost a month now and have really enjoyed therapy. They help make the time go by fast with their fun personalities and kindness. They never complain about anything, always up beat. Stacy, with therapy, even helped with my bath before going to therapy. They are just right there when I need them, always willing to help and be team players. Mariam is also with therapy and she is great, very sweet. Ethan who is a tech on nights is HILARIOUS. You hit the call button and he is right there. We will just sit and laugh and laugh, he feels like an old friend.

After leaving Harris hospital I arrived at Kindred ICU. Lydia, one of the ICU nurses, was wonderful! She made me feel very comfortable, very attentive and kind. She was always walking around and checking on everyone. Jerry was another stand out in ICU. I appreciated his kindness. He did a fantastic job at explaining everything medically to me so I could better understand. After receiving great care in ICU I was moved to the floor. Shelly was great! I think she should be called speedy. She's always busy running around. She's another nurse that's went above and beyond. She's been very attentive and kind. She got pizza for me and refused to let me pay her back.

When I arrived everyone was welcoming and nice. Cindy and Michelle, with nursing have been nice. They treat me with respect all the time, they always show interest with how I am doing and feeling. When I ask for something or help they never complain or gripe. They make me feel comfortable and at ease. Ashley is another one that is really nice. She seems to be really happy and outgoing. She is always eager to help and take care of me. Merci and Andrea are both really caring. My room is always kept clean and I like that I have a big window with a nice view. I have a beautiful tree right outside my window so it lets in just enough sunlight.

My husband had been at JPS. We did not have a good experience at JPS so when my husband was transferred to Kindred hospital I was very upset and cautious. When we arrived at Kindred we were immediately welcomed by staff. All of the staff was very kind, I did have one issue with a night nurse addressed immediately. if I could give Blanca 20 stars I would. Blanca, with housekeeping, has been very kind and has helped me and staff communicate efficiently as a spanish speaker and I trust and feel comfortable with her. Blanca also went to get me lunch while I was there without lunch and could not leave. Rowan, a night nurse, would come into my husbands room and hum as he worked which always put my husband and even myself at ease. Shannon was also a standout as well as Melissa, the patient relations rep. Melissa would come and check on me daily to make sure everything was going well with my husband and I.

I had gone to Plaza Medical for surgery and ended up having to stay for a month. For further rehabilitation and treatment I transferred over to Kindred Hospital which is right across the street from Plaza. We were met at the door by the Administrator, Matt, my family and I were very impressed. Kevin, my ambassador who checks on me daily, is a hard worker and very sweet. I've had many nurses that have done a great job. Rehab listens. They are Great! Stacy, mark, And Tyler were FANTASTIC. I feel like they have most definitely played a huge part of my recovery. They do not make you feel less because you can't. They just keep encouraging and working with you till you can. This is definitely the place to go for rehabilitation.

Incompetence!

This place is a joke. One of the nurses didn't want to get on the floor to change my dads wound dressing on his legs, even though he couldn't lay down because it's too painful. She said it would "hurt her back". Can't get anything done in a timely manner. No one will answer calls or call back. Never again would I use this place. The nurses talk to the patients like they are dogs, and I am speaking of patients with dimentia who's families are not there all the time to monitor how their loved ones are being treated. This hospital needs to be shut down.

I enjoyed my stay here at Kindred hospital. Everyone has been so nice to me. The food and coffee were good and the hospital was nice and clean. My bedding was changed every day. Food trays were brought every meal and I appreciated everyone that brought them. I would recommend anyone to this hospital.

Great Health Care Professionals

The caring and professional staff at Kindred 8th Ave. is the best. I had a great experience while here, every dept. provides exceptional care with attention to excellence. They all believe in serving the patients with dignity, safety in mind, and are conscience of time. The nurses became "family", all work very hard to assure the highest quality of care.
