JKS is amazing. I went to another Salon the morning before I went to JKS and they totally ruined my hair. Turned it green. The stylist that worked with me was so kind and understanding to my fears. John the owner consulted and suggested what products to use to fix it. When she was done my hair looked amazing and was healthier then it had been in years. I applaud the staff at JKS and their products saved my hair. If you haven't tried them it's a must because you will become hooked!!!!!!!!

Do not go here! I was treated ...

Do not go here! I was treated so awfully it's embarrassing. I have light blonde hair that I like to lighten without bleach. It's a simple process but most hairstylists are lazy & don't care about the health of your hair so they don't lighten without bleach. I went here on a recommendation from a friend. I made an appointment with 2 different people, one who specifically does color & one who is more proficient with cuts. I only had one person work on my hair. Annoying because that wasn't what I had made the appointment for, but I overlooked it. I attempted to get a price quote but couldn't get my hairstylist to give me a number, which is very shady. When it was done I could barely tell anything had been done to my hair at all, the stylist had obviously never used the technique I'm used to. I went to the front counter and the price was WAY above anything I had ever paid to have my hair done. Then the owner, mr kaytaz himself comes up to me and recommends products. When I ask for price which is a standard question to ask since I was just duped into paying a lot of money for a service I couldn't get a quote on. The owner says "It doesn't matter that purse you're carrying is $300, your hair is more important than a purse." I was shocked. I really did not appreciate that comment...

Then the worst came when I had an awards banquet to attend for work and I just needed a light touchup. I went & he suggested some lowlights so I wouldn't need touchups so often. I agreed but said I wanted them to be very light, no more than a shade darker than my current color, & I wanted it to look very natural, not streaky. I left the store paying $200 for brown hair. When I walked out the door I had brown hair with a few little blonde streaks. I hate streaky. I only want to ever enhance the light blonde & keep it looking natural. I was devastated and cried all the way home. My husband called the store and demanded they fix it, I was too embarassed and upset to talk to them. The only appointment they had left before my banquet fell on the day of my banquet. So I went there and was treated like crap for lack of a better word. I sat with bleach on my hair, burning my sensitive scalp, while he rotated in other clients. When I tried to suggest an alternative to bleach since I hate the way it looks & haven't had any bleach in my hair in years, he snapped at me that it was the only way, like it was my fault. HE IS THE ONE WHO DID THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Then they sent me on my way with wet hair, I said "can you not at least blow dry it I have my banquet tonight and I don't have time to do my hair & I'm sorry if its an inconvenience to you but it's a huge inconvenience to me." and he said no I don't have time and I'd have to charge you for it and very catty said your husband said I can't take any money from you not even a tip. So I walked out, wet hair fried with bleach, and was late to my banquet.

For your own good stay away from this place. They think they are "artists" and that what you want doen't matter. They have no regard for your budget and will just be flat out rude to you.

The Best Ever

I read the reviews after getting my hair done best ever. Some of reviews are so negative that I wonder if they were talking about the same salon. My stylist was well trained, did a great job, salon was beatiful and made me feel at home. I would recommend this salon to everyone. Very friendly staff and great location.

More positives than negatives

Stylist at the Burleson location was attentive to my concerns and I received a good haircut and she was skilled in flat-ironing my thick, curly hair. The styling took extra time, but I was not charged for the length of time it took. She recommended a couple products that almost doubled the cost of my visit. She said that I could return the products if dissatisfied even after a month.

Watch Out

My friend and I had gone to this salon before so we were really looking foward to getting our hair done when we made a repeat visit a couple of weeks ago, but we will never visit again. When we checked in they were nice enough. then the lady asked me to change my shirt and put on a smock it took me a few minutes as I am hadicaped.

As I came out my stylist came to greet me but then made a joke about me taking long enough. I blew off the remark as people who are not in my shoes don't understand. she started in on my hair and asked me what I wanted. i told her to cut the dead hair and but in light layers. She then begain to comment on the dry job I had done a few weeks before. I knew that there were placees that I missed and I told her that is why I came to see her, so that she could fix it. I was trying to make light of it but she could not stop making the remarks. As we talked about the hair color I wanted.

She kept saying I would look alot better a few shades darker than what I wanted and I told her that I was not ready for that but maybe next time. She put the dye on my hair and I thought it looked dark but I have learned that just becasue it looks dark that dosen't mean that is what your hair color will be. As she was washing my hair she made the comment about how thick my hair was but I had warned her of tham before she started working. Then she started cutting my hair and she told me "hey this other stuff is dead too, we might want to cut that" I said alright but just make sure the layers wern't to blunt. She went to cut my hair in the style she wanted anyway. Then she blew out my hair and it was the color she recemended not the color I wanted. I didn't say a word to her because I was so mad I didn't want to cause a secne. When I went to pay the lady at the front counter she gave me a price that was 40 dollars more than I was told it would be. I told them when I called that I wanted the $68 special (which I had gotten the last time I was there for the same work) I explained to the desk clerk just that and she said "there is no way they charged you that" , pretty much calling me a liar. As I asked her about the rest the bill she said that the stylist charged extra for some type of treatment she put on my hair, one that I had no idea about because she never said anything. I was so mad I just paid the bill and left and when to call a manager on my way home. I spoke with someone and told her what happend she said she would have John the owner of the salon call me before the end of the day. I have yet to hear from him. With my job I suggest services, needless to say this is one I will never recommend again.
