Karen is not crazy.

She is so passionate about her beliefs that she might seems that way but she is not. We also got into a heated argument the first time I went into her store several years ago.

It's her store and her rules. If I came into your house doing or saying something you really didn't like its up to you what you say to me about it. Same goes for her in her store. Nowadays I just agree with her. Get what I need and leave. While in waiting for her to ring me up I usually notice she's selling several hundred dollars of her herbs and spices before she gets to me so maybe the woman is crazy like a fox eh? I do not question her believes. I just try to learn from her. Let's all look for the good in her which is plenty. How hard can it be to not be confrontational with someone who had a job none of us can even image having. It's not that hard I assure you. Once you make it past what you see as crazy behavior in her all will be fine.

you'll be glad you swallowed your pride and didn't argue with her.

I went in and I DID NOT take my cellphone into her business, as she had requested. She welcomed me and was happy that I had respected her request. I listened to what she had to say, and was understanding, rather than arguing with her about a dumb cellphone. It is a CELLPHONE. You are not going to die if you leave it in your car, while you are in her shop. Upon reading reviews from previous customers, I recognize that they did not respect her boundaries. Anyway, she helped me in the way that I needed and was genuine, as well as passionate. Learn some tolerance people!

I went to this business because I knew she'd have the basic ingredients to the recipe I needed for Essiac tea, and she had all of them and the price was so affordable. The owner asks that cellphones not enter her store. A request that does not seem unreasonable. Don't like the rule, go somewhere else. Karen is very knowledgeable and has a passion that flows from her every being. She had so many people in her store today and she fills orders and gives pieces of wisdom as she works. You need patience and you may make a friend while waiting. Each room is filled with information, trinkets, and numerous other things to check out! Respect her request. If you asked someone not to spit on your floor and respect your request, you would not earn the label of "nuts". The request is noted on her front door. Hope you get healthy!

I gave one star because I had to...Otherwise it would be zero. Wow! Too bad the owner is crazy or this might be a great place to get bulk herbs. My Mom and I walked in and she said "I need you to put your cell phones in the car NOW! " Ok, that was th first time we stepped in the feel good herbal shop. My mom was shocked and I was floored. I decided I would just get what I needed and leave because this lady was giving me a horrible vibe and she said a couple of snide remarks about the cell phones and I told her she was hateful and I would not buy her herbs because I don't like her. My mom and I would not recommend this place to anyone because the owner is scary to say the least. I will find somewhere else to get bulk herbs that has much better energy than anything she touches. I wouldn't recommend getting healing treatments from her either because she needs to do some work on herself first. It is a shame too because the store has great potential. I think the owner LOVES her plants and HATES humans. Good luck with that!

WILL NOT GO BACK!!

Because of word of mouth I went to this business for the Royal Flush and happened to get there in time for the unnecessary class you must sit through before you're able to buy the infamous 100.00 flush ingredients. The owner is very harsh, and has very very poor customer service. As we're being preached to about our illnesses and such a customer came into the store. She was not greeted properly but yelled at that the store was closed! She was busy and will not answer any questions to come back some other time unless she knew what she wanted! I looked at my watch and the other ladies sitting there, It a little after 430 or so. The customer responded it was only 4 something and she did know the items she needed. The owner ignored her continued with her sermon until she heard music she thought was coming from a cell phone. She almost broke the jar she was drinking the flush mixture from by slamming it on the table and practically rushing the cusotmer as she screamed she heard a cell phone and they're not allowed in her store. I must say the customer handled herself very well after the owner ms foley in a bullish way got in her face questioning the customer about the phone. The customer told her it was from outside, and to please get out of her face foley then seemed to become angered that it wasn't the customer. The owner began a new sermon on why cell phone users are sick, etc... Being disturbed by what I had just witnessed I got up and left. I didn't get the flush nor did she receive my 100.00. I'm still looking for it and I'm sure will find it, but WON'T BE GOING BACK TO HER BUSINESS! She's been eating too many of the wrong roots.

RUDE, AGGRESSIVE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE,NASTY

I went in looking for some items my physician wanted me to purchase instead of prescribing pills. It was 435 in the afternoon, she evidently was conducting a class on her flush and yelled to me that she was CLOSED unless I knew what I was looking for. I responded that I did and it was only 435, the door says 5p. She stated she's only open for the customers in her class and she wasnt going to answer any questions. Which was fine with me. She heard a car playing loud music and as she was putting her arm pit in the face of someone in class explaining how she hasn't worn deordant in 12years because she's all natural a car passed with music. She slammed her jar down on the table, screamed someone has a cell phone and no cell phones that is why you people who use cell phones are sick and I want it out of here! Myself and the other customer who had come in looked at each other and shrugged, she aggressively came face to face with me and asked if it were me when I told her it was a passing car, I asked her to please get out of my space and recognize it was a passing car she then went on a tyraid of cell phones. The flush is 100.00, her attitude needs to be flushed! It took everything within me not to lose my temper with her in your face, nasty, aggressive, over the top rants about cell phones. I left and found the flush at a westside health food store as well as the items I needed at a lower cost, same ingredients, better customer service. Buyer beware
