We apologize that the estimate you were given was incorrect and are willing to discuss your account should you wish to give us a call. We offer the courtesy of accepting insurance assignment rather than having our families pay in full at their appointment and then be reimbursed by their insurance carrier. We do our very best to get a patients benefits prior to their appointment and it is never our intent to not give precise patient responsibility prior to any treatment being performed. However many times even with written pre-determinations directly from the insurance carrier reimbursement from the insurance company changed from the original estimate. All insurance companies have a disclaimer that states, “This is not a guarantee of coverage or benefits and determination will be made upon receipt of a completed claim.” Our treatment plans are based on the most recent information given to us by the insurance carrier and also state that “Treatment co-pays are dependent upon contracted fees and our usual and customary fees. The co-pays will change when we receive your insurances explanation of benefits.”
