DO NOT TAKE SOMEONE YOU LOVE TO TEXAS REHAB HOSPITAL!!! Rehab doctors are incompetitent and sent my mother back to the hospital with congestive heart failure! Within 3 hours of sending her back to the hospital, they had placed someone else in her room, thrown all of her personal belongings in the hall UNATTENDED. Had we not gone back to collect a few "necessary" items from her room, we would never have known that her things were sitting out in the halls, including her clothes, walker, cell phone and change purse! Most nurses and techs speak little english and comprehend even less, making staying informed about the patient's care plan absolutely impossible. My mother has NEVER fallen and never been a fall risk until taken to this facility, where she fell numberous times. Facility is new and, from the outside, appears clean and well attended. However, once you have a patient admitted, you begin to see the "true" side of what TRH is all about. I would NEVER take someone I cared for back to this facility. We fought to get her in a place we felt would be more than adequate for her short-term rehab care, but fought even harder to keep her alive after only a brief stay. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS FACILITY!!!
