So far not a good start. Entered about 7 pm took until almost midnight to get my pain meds and NEVER received my sleep meds. They said pharmacy screwed up, whoops! Still no sleep meds & again waiting on pain meds. Not a good first day!

My father stayed at this rehab facility for about 2 weeks after an extensive hospital stay. His physical therapist and occupational therapist were wonderful young women who knew what they were doing and clearly cared about their patients. But many of the staff seemed either ill-prepared or just didn't care. The dietary staff were terrible and the "food" they prepared looked like slop for barnyard animals. Sometimes it was not even identifiable (and dad was on a regular diet). When asked a question they couldn't or wouldn't answer it. Rather routine healthcare questions went unanswered for hours or days. Housekeeping was deplorable, bathroom smelled so bad! we went to top admin to get it cleaned (the toilet always required multiple flushes). They said "the building is old". One RN came in and used the plunger when it was about to over flow. We did as much as we could to overcome the bad elements - brought in most meals, our own cleaning supplies, etc. Just a very bad experience!!

I recently spent four weeks in the HealthSouth Rehab Hospital. I found this facility to be top notch from the administration staff to house keeping. Administration was often seen daily visiting with the patients. When visiting with me, they made it a point to call me by name and take time to visit and ask how things were going.



The CEO personified what a leader should be. She was often seen visiting with patients and staff. My case worker was readily available for any questions that came up. She was prompt in answering my questions and was always encouraging me in my progress. I found the therapists to be superior. I don’t feel I could have received better care anywhere in the Metroplex. I had major spinal cord surgery. My therapist team spent time customizing my sessions to meet my personal needs. My sessions were planned to help me become successful and challenged me to be motivated. My recovery was fast and I will be forever grateful to my therapist team and HealthSouth for the excellent care they gave me.
