My furbaby had stop eating, drinking and was moping around all day, the next morning I took her to Lancaster Animal Hospital,1824 E. Lancaster..Dr. Bob Verzosa checked my dog for heartworms, the first test he said he did not have any so he wanted to take another more expensive test then came back to tell me that my dog had heartworms, I was devastated. He gave him fluids and I started him on heartworm Med as I was aware how harsh taking a dog through heartworm treatment is so I did what they called slow kill... I returned a wk later to do another fluid treatment. I want to add after the day that I took my dog to the vet he was never sick again. I appreciate the fluid treatment and I suspect that's actually all he needed. He was on heartworm Med every month for two solid years as suggested but to be honest I actually think he was misdiagnosed, I don't think he ever had heartworms. How do you have heartworms and you're only sick one day. I have so much more to say about the rude staff.

its been about a year and a half since I came to this clinic and haven't gotten around to write a review until now. I'm still extremely upset with what my baby had to go through at this so called clinic. I originally went to my reg. vet but their X-ray machine was down so I had to bring him here. I thought I trusted the vet and I was desperate to get my baby feeling better He stopped eating and it had me very worried. on or first visit he was prescribed antibiotics something to induce his hunger to make him want to eat and some other rx to keep him from throwing up (Note: He wasn't throwing up his food, he just wasn't eating, not sure why this was prescribed.) They also did an X-ray to make sure he didn't eat something he shouldn't have but everything came out clear he found nothing. Then he was kept over night they gave him mineral oil to check and make sure that it was pass through and it did. Next he suggested an exploratory surgery just to take a look inside him which I went ahead with still they found nothing except they said he had an enlarged gallbladder which could have possibly cause him to not want to eat but it wasn't certain This surgery needed to be done ASAP because my dog was getting really thin and I couldn't hold off on it any longer but Dr Bob had a vacation planed so he had to transport my dog to another vet to have this done then transported back after the other vet called to inform me of how the surgery went (Note: once my dog was done with surgery and transported back Dr. Bob would still be on vacation so there was only vet techs there very upsetting to me). After surgery they gave him more prescriptions that may possibly help his gallbladder I took him home it didn't help. He still wouldn't eat, so they told me to take him back in again and leave him so I did even though Dr. Bob still wouldn't be in the office, once again I was desperate and would do anything they said to help my dog. They medicated him more then hooked him up to Fluids I left him there for a couple of days and each day I would go visit him after work, he looked so miserable day one they had him on fluids the Tech told me they would keep him on fluids I though she knew what she was doing next day he was swelling up because I they left fluids hooked up to him over night unattended!! He was over filled with fluids and was swollen all over his face his legs and and pockets of fluid through his body I was very angry that this happen and asked them to stop the fluids(Note: To much fluid can kill your dog for those who don't know there lungs can become filled over time and its basically like drowning him). Dr, Bob came back later that day and tried to explain that it was normal but I can assure you that its not but he wasn't there to watch over him so i guess he had to come up with something to make it seem better it didn't work on me. The next day I wasn't going to leave him any longer I took him home with me. At this point my dog has done almost 2 months without eating and was extremely thin he was probably just hanging in there for me I love him so much. I knew it would be selfish of me to not let him go I tried everything I could I had him sleep with me at home then the next day I had someone come to my home to have him put down in my arms, I couldn't think of ever taking him into any other vet office again. May he Rest In Peace I will Never as long as I live ever be back in this clinic. I will attach photo of my dog after he had fluids as well this is unacceptable. I pray no one has to go through what I had to go through.

Awful place. The NURSES TALK ABOUT CUSTOMERS BEHIND THEIR BACK! If you question the VET HE ACTS UPSET AND LITERALLY KICKS YOU OUT! For those who say they had surgeries done, I would double check because they were trying to do an UNNECESSARY SURGERY on my dog in the past. They tried to do it to my friend's pet too recently! All they want is your money and all they know how to do is spay/neuter. Yeah they will stay late....to take your $700 on something they will never do!

They charge $90 to spay a feral cat and when I asked where is someplace that does low-cost all she would say is "I don't know". BS, you can't tell me that a vet doesn't know what clinics do low-cost feral cat spaying.

Outstanding Service

I cannot say enough for this fine clinic and the professional staff and both veterinarians. I took my Doberman in for emergency surgery (she had bloat and was dying before my eyes) I called THREE CLINICS who would not see her because they were about to close. (It was noon on Saturday). These wonderful people and Dr. Jeff stayed late so I could rush Kelly in there - Dr. Jeff performed surgery and saved Kellys life - a miracle, considering her stomach was bloated bigger than they had ever seen before. Kelly was up and doing fine the next day. I praise them highly. ALL my dogs will go there from now on.

Excellent!

Dr. Bob and his staff are wonderful! Everyone is friendly and genuinely cares for animals. I have taken my dog to other vets for an issue she had and I felt like the other vets did every test they could charge me for and I never got the right treatment. I took my dog to Dr. Bob and he had a solution! My dog is well now. Their prices are reasonable too!
