Founded in 1995 as the Intercultural Child Care and Family Center, the East Fort Worth Montessori Academy, also known as EFWMA, is a nonprofit organization that provides curriculum that includes opportunities for the continuous intellectual, physical, moral and social growth of students. The academy has an annual enrolment of more than 250 students. It serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The East Fort Worth Montessori Academy s academic curriculum includes classes in language arts, math, history, geography, and physical and biological science. The academy administers the English as a Second Language Program. It also organizes several after0shool programs for students. East Fort Worth Montessori Academy operates White Lake School. It serves the students of Tarrant County in Texas. The academy is an academically recognized school by the Texas Education Agency.
