About a year ago I had to change my dentist because I got new dental insurance. Fortunately two of my friends recommended me Dr. Sydney Chau at Summit Cosmetic Dentistry. I made an appointment and was very happy I did so. Dr. Chau and her staff are very experienced and skilled professionals and I always feel welcomed there. My teeth are in bad shape, prone to cavities and need a lot of attention. Dr. Chau and her dental hygienists managed to keep everything under control (especially my receding gums) and I haven’t had any new cavity since. All procedures were done with great care and PAINLESS and I never have had any problems or needed any additional repairs afterwards. I also appreciate follow up calls after treatment and appointments reminders. I will continue to see Dr. Chau and I am planning to have my 3 crowns work with her shortly. Because she's one of the best dentist for crowns in DFW.

Dr. Sydney Chau's practice is outstanding because of the following points:



1. Information. As a patient, you always understand what is happening during a procedure because Dr. Chau is a great communicator. She tells you with details what she is about to do. She is also very knowledgeable.



2. Confidence. Dr. Chau is very experienced and knows dentistry better than most other dentists. I felt I could trust her judgement 100% which has not always been my experience with other dentists in the past.



3. Quality. I had to get a new crown (previous one from my previous dentist broke after a few years) and after getting this new crown, I have no pain and a better bite than with my previous crown from a few years ago. So her work has turned out to be better than that of my previous dentist. In addition, she went above and beyond by plugging in a few tiny holes I had in other teeth.



4. Organization. The office is well organized and runs like a well oiled machine. The personnel is very qualify and courteous. So she also seems to manage her business very well...



The whole experience was very positive for me and I recommend Dr. Chau to anyone looking for a great dentist!

Outstanding patient care. Dr Sydney Chau dental office is excellent at providing top quality dental work, treating both my husband and myself we're moving to Waxahachie and plan to still make the drive back for any of our dental needs. You will not find a better dentist anywhere.

Dr. Chau is great! I switched to her because my previous dentist didn't do a great job with my root canal treatments. She retreat every single one of them with excellent care! I love going to the dentist now because Dr. Chau and her staff are very friendly!

I recommend Dr. Chau for kids because she gives you no pain experiences. The last time I went to Dr. Chau, I had to get my teeth pulled out. At first, I was really scared because I hate shots, but she made it feel like nothing. I couldn't feel the pain throughout the whole process. I will definitely go back......Jasmine Le 12 years old

I can not say thank you enough to Dr. Chau and her wonderful, friendly, caring staff. They took care of me when I was in desperate need of an urgent cosmetic fix before my best friends' wedding - and they did it all with smiles. If you dread going to the dentist, maybe you aren't going to the right one. Dr. Chau will quickly ease all your worries!!

After treatment by both Dr. Sydney Chau and Dr. Stephen Morris - who's practice she assumed - I can vouch for Dr. Chau's high level of expertise and professionalism - as well as those of her office staff.



In support of my review, I offer these credentials:



I've lived in Fort Worth for over 60 years and received dental work from well over a dozen orthordontists, dental surgeons or dentists - so I have considerable experience as a patient.



I have had fillings, caps, braces and a dental implant since I was 17 due to a sports injury. My brother-in-law of over 30 years is a well respected dentist (but out of state), and over the years we've had in-depth discussions about the medical industry in general and dentistry in particular. We've had these discussions because, in addition, I have just under ten years work experience within the medical healthcare industry as a Medical Television producer for UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. There, I developed scripts and video productions to help doctors be better doctors and show patients how to better work with - and understand - the medical-industrial complex.



My point? These experiences say I know a good doctor when I see one.



Recently I needed extensive dental surgery to rebuild the implant of my incisor. I was apprehensive, since this implant has had 3 previous rebuilds and my circumstances could make it problematic. It is the most visible in your smile - and it had to be perfect - Dr. Chau made it so.



The color and position of an implant as visible as the incisor is very difficult to match due to the translucent nature of natural teeth. Previous treatments were close - but Dr. Chau's finished work was as perfect as it gets.



In addition, after a financial and insurance issue arose around the implant procedure, her staff "bent over backwards" as they say to "go above and beyond" to stick up for me and make it right.



As for regular cleanings and visits - and in response to an earlier review - I'd say that "personal information" revelations are a two-way street. If one does not feel comfortable hearing or discussing those things, one needs to simply say so.



My experience says this staff does NOT take liberties in that area - but they ARE friendly. I feel very much at home, comfortable and in the best of care because of their attitude and behaviors.



To close, I can honestly say Dr. Chau is the best dentist I have been to in the last 60 years....and now, after recently moving back into the state after a near 10-year absence, my daughter and future son-in-law are her patients as well.



I don't think you can make a better recommendation than that.

Dr. Chau is awesome, and so is her office staff. The entire office is so welcoming and friendly, whenever visiting her office, I always feel like a VIP.



Dr. Chau definitely is excellent at what she does, especially surgical procedures and cosmetic works. I had several dental work done (including a root canal) in her office, while everyone is so afraid having this done in other dentists' offices, mine with Dr. Chau was just very pleasant experience.



Her exceptional technics in cosmetic procedures are speechless, I still could not believe that, within an hour, my teeth just look amazing!!



I've referred several friends to her office, now with my brand new look, I am sure more of my friends will ask me which dentist I go.

Outstanding professional work!

My highest compliments to Dr Chau and her entire staff. I have been a patient of Dr Chau's for a couple years now for routine cleanings and checkups and always very pleased with the results I'd received.

However, I recently consulted with her on some cosmetic dentistry since I knew she was specially trained in this field. She showed me several options and we agreed on the best plan. I could not be more pleased with the results! I have a beautiful new smile and lots of compliments. She is VERY competent in her work and gave special detail to every aspect. I have been a patient of Dr. Chau for the past year. I believe Dr. Chau is an exceptionally capable and professional Dental Surgeon.



She, as well as her staff, all are friendly and very professional in their dealings before, during and after surgical procedures. Dr. Chau has beautified my upper front teeth by installing a bridge that feels and looks great. Recently she designed and installed a cantilever bridge onto my right upper canine tooth, and I am very pleased with it.



I plan to remain under the dental care of Dr. Chau, and my wife is also very happy to being cared for by this great Dental Surgeon.

I first came to Dr. Chau's office over 7 months ago and was completely satisified with her expertise and customer service then. I am not a big fan of dentists, nor going to see them. However, after the last visit, I have decided to be more up-to-date with my routine visits. I came again last month to have cleaning done. I got the same great service and advices from Dr. Chau. I had cavity and she recommended filling. Due to my busy schedule, I couldn't get that done until just last week. Dr. Chau's work was great to the point that I didn't feel any discomfort during and and after the filling was done. Now, I no longer have toothache in that area and can chew comfortably. It is such a great feeling!

Dr. Sydney Chau is a very gentle and caring dentist. Her work is great. I was referred to her by my family. I am very thankful to her to have restored my beautiful smile. I have had many compliments since the day she fixed my front teeth.Her staffs are very professional. They are very helpful in addressing any concerns I have. I am grateful that I have found such a wonderful dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Chau to anyone i know.

Do not come here! I used to come to this office when it was Dr. Morris and now that Dr. Sydney Chau has taken it over it has gone downhill. I used to refer all of my coworkers here and I have since left this office and they have as well.



The office staff is unprofessional and will disclose too much of their personal information while they are working on you. I also had a lady leave while she was cleaning my teeth to take a phone call on her cell. I felt I gave them so many chances to redeem themselves and they just kept messing up.



The icing on the cake was when I had to get a cavity re-filled and I wasn't completely numb and they drilled, I told them to stop they re-numbed me, didn't work, re-numbed me again and then worked on the cavity. My face was numb all day! I thought I was in pain after they worked on that cavity and they said that the pain would go away. A week after my tooth was still hurting (I did call them asking if the pain would go away and they said to give it a week).



After a week, still in pain, they told me to come in again. I had the cavity re-filled at this office twice after the initial visit, they couldn't fix it....so I went to my current dentist which was the best decision ever, she had it fixed the first time she tried.



Now a year after I have been there, they told me I have a credit with them and my insurance didn't pay. It has been so long since that lovely experience and I now have to go back a year and figure out finances since their office staff didn't know what they were doing.



Save yourself a headache, toothache and “gossip fest” and go to a professional!
